Check out this post from Dan Cohen; a great example of how he helps align non-profit (and for-profit) company missions with their sales approach, leading to impactful and sustainable growth.
Friends/Colleagues in Nonprofit Corporate Partnerships, The quickest way to build your pipeline and secure more support from corporate partners is to improve your team’s SALES SKILLS!!! 💡 💡 💡 An estimated 75% of nonprofit professionals responsible for generating corporate partnership revenue have no formal sales training and have never had a “sales” job before their current job, yet we expect them to reach their goals without providing them with the training/coaching necessary to do so. 💡 💡 💡 The vast majority of high performing sales organizations use conversation intelligence software (call recording) to improve results, yet very few nonprofit organizations do likewise. Maybe if there were people who understood both sales and our “space”, we’d be more open to it? Don’t take my word for it. Watch/listen to testimonial videos from Courtney Davidson, Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships for Wounded Warrior Project, explaining how we, Cause Partners, LLC, work with her team to get them further faster and message me if you want to learn more about how we may be able to help your nonprofit get better results from your corporate partnership outreach. 👇 👇 👇 https://lnkd.in/e7JQmTCX #corporatepartnerships #csr #nonprofits #fundraising #sales #professionaldevelopment

Week 8 has come to an end and here are the updates from this second to last week of the program 💡 ➡️ Heidi Lindvall from Pale blue dot held a workshop about what NOT to do when fundraising. We went through the topics: - emailing, pitching, presentation of yourself and your company, team & organization, and discussions with investors. Some interesting discussions around: - having an external fundraiser or not - being cocky or confident - being conservative or idealistic in your forecasts - taking too much or too little feedback ➡️ Later in the week, we learned more about Gilion's financial forecasting and insights platform (that is free to use): - what metrics to measure - how to segment cohorts of retention - adding "what if..." scenarios to your forecasts Thank you Elin Clemmedsson and Tina Einsiedler! ➡️ Finally, we got to listen to the founding story of Boxbollen and the immense growth that Jacob Eriksson and his brother Victor has had with the single product company. The session turned into mentoring from Jacob to the other founders, which was much appreciated. Thank you for being transparent and curious! #fundraising #forecasting #growth
