Determining if your loved one qualifies for care is the first step in obtaining help from Doctor’s Choice Home Care and Hospice. For a patient to qualify for home health, they should be currently under the care of a physician who has ordered home health care. A patient might also have experienced a recent injury, illness, or a change in their condition, which requires a more advanced level of skilled care than they have previously needed. Lastly, a patient should be homebound due to illness or injury or restrictions on their ability to leave via mobility issues like needing a walker or wheelchair for mobility, or other situations that make visiting a medical facility impossible or extremely difficult. To determine if your situation (or your loved one’s) qualifies for this type of home health care, contact us at Doctor’s Choice Home Care and Hospice. Home health is an immensely valuable service that provides an increased quality of life for patients who benefit from the medical professionals who visit their homes to give them needed medical care. https://loom.ly/xLFktqk #HomeHealthCare #Doctor’sChoiceHomeCare&Hospice #SeeIfYouQualify #YourLovedOneMightQualify #UnderstandingHomeHealthCare

Here are some of the benefits of Home Health care: -Improved patient outcomes -Increased patient satisfaction -Reduced costs -Increased INDEPENDENCE *Independence is capitalized because it means that the patient will get back to normal without needing the support of family or friends. If INDEPENDENCE is NOT a true outcome, please inquire about HOSPICE, it’s the highest medical care for those who are not and will not be independent because of their decline. #Hospice #HomeHealth #BeInformed #threeoakshospice #MedicalCare

What is the best time of day for home health care? One of the defining features of home health care is the ease in which services can be tailored to accommodate a patient’s unique needs and goals. Because of this ease of customization, many new home care recipients will focus on identifying household tasks in which a home caregiver can provide assistance, however the actual timing of these services often goes unconsidered. https://lnkd.in/eG2_RPHH In fact, deciding when your home caregiver visits is almost as important as what type of assistance they will provide. Because many home care patients begin service with shorter visits (around four to six hours) selecting a time of day in which you receive services can be absolutely critical. Read on to learn what factors you should consider when scheduling in-home care.

What is the difference between a home health agency and a home care agency? In Florida, the wording is confusing. A home health agency accepts Medicare and provides short-term skilled medical care for people after discharge from hospitals or rehab centers. A home care agency, such as Flourish in Place Home Care Solutions, provides long-term personal, non-skilled care, which means help with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, cooking, driving to appointments, etc.). The two can work in tandem, if a client's needs require skilled nursing as well as personal care.
