I gave some thoughts on the Vision Pro a few weeks ago. Some further observations: I feel folks can broadly be put into two user groups: ◾ VR users: People who are already using VR, have been impressed with the quality of the product, and excited at the prospect of Apple entering this space. However use cases can be served by much cheaper devices on the market, so price point is an issue. So now they wait excitedly to see how the device progresses. ◽ Apple users: These folks have the phone, watch, iPad and Mac, and want to add this device to that ecosystem. Some tried it and realised it was too much money, but others who could afford to have a $3500 nice to have, have kept it for recreational use. Efforts to find uses for it saw a guy wear it to his wedding recently! 🤓 Definitely more to come though including from other companies, so watch this space.

Remember back when the iPhone was introduced? Yes, Neil McClughan and I have been working together that long! On our 15th anniversary of working together to solve problems for our clients, Neil and I have been reflecting on our accomplishments.   We are proud of our ability to help our clients grow and become more effective and efficient. We have helped them create a path forward, improved governance and organizational structure, developed business cases, streamlined processes, assessed new revenue streams and opportunities to reduce costs, aligned technology to their current and future needs, and addressed organizational culture challenges (often the elephant in the room), all through a focus on strategic thinking, outcomes and collaboration. We developed and use a unique approach that has served us well. The individual skills and experience that we each have brought to our clients are a great complement to each other, providing effective advice and proven results.    We’re often asked, when are you going to retire? When we can achieve results and better outcomes for our clients and still enjoy working together, why would we stop?

💭As a coach with a theatre and literature background, I find this concept from 1984 fascinating. At 18 years old, studying this text in the very year that was being predicted by Orwell, I was horrified by his dystopian depiction of the thought police. I probably pictured myself being called to action rather like the hammer wielding woman below. I would like to think that 40 years on, leg warmers no longer a thing, that we have a better grasp of neuroscience and our ability to think for ourselves. I may not be weilding a hammer in fury at the brainwashers, but I do offer a safe and confidential coaching space in which to think freely as your generative listening partner. What do you think? Any company that goes to shows has the same question. "How do we attract people to our booth?" What I've found time and again is that people love to have fun. The Kando booth at Apartmentalize 2024 was a LOT of fun. Besides for a basketball hoop with prizes for getting baskets, we raffled off some pretty epic prizes. We raffled off AirPods, FitBits, putting mats, Amazon gift cards, a Meta Quest 2, and an iPad Air. What can I say, it worked! We had crowds of attendees at our booth. How do you make your booth an attraction at shows?
