Celebrating its 3rd anniversary, WindFloat Atlantic is the first floating wind farm in Continental Europe. It has provided clean energy to over 25,000 Portuguese families annually during these years. Its contribution to the goal of achieving 100% renewable energy by 2030 is remarkable. Each platform stands at 30 meters high, and the whole turbine with 212 meters high. It’s composed of three 8.4 MW floating wind turbines anchored at a depth of 100 meters. Each blade is 80 meters, and they are prefabricated and anchored using chains. Their impact on the marine ecosystem is minimal, further coupled with an average lifespan of 25 years. WindFloat is part of the future, and the plan is to expand its presence for a better future. Our expansion in Germany, fueled by the cross-cooperation with all the stakeholders along the wind industry chain. One step further einen Schritt weiter
#WindEnergy is blowing towards #Germany. 🌬 To actively fight #climatechange , we need to surround ourselves with associations that have the same environmental ambitions, that is why we are delighted to announce that Greenvolt Power is now a member of the Bundesverband WindEnergie e.V. in Germany. Founded in 1996, this association has played a key role in Germany's energy transition plans. With around 20,000 members, it is considered one of the largest associations in the renewable energy sector worldwide and has grown significantly in terms of advising decision-makers on how to effectively expand wind energy in Germany. By joining forces with the German Wind Energy Association, we will be strengthening our dedication to advancing wind energy solutions and broadening our impact on the #planet.

#WindPower #Spain #NischalAgarwal #CopenhagenInfrastructurePartners #TeruelWindProject #VicAbate #GEVernova #OffshoreWindDivision #GE_6_1_158WindTurbines "Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners announced May 28 that GE Vernova's Onshore Wind division will deliver, install, commission and service 125 of GE’s 6.1-158 wind turbines worth more than 700 million euros at the Maestrazgo cluster of CIP’s Teruel wind project. Expected to become the largest wind farm in Spain, Teruel has an installed capacity of approximately 760 MW, and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 320,000 tonnes per year. GE Vernova previously supplied CIP with 490 MW of onshore wind power in Aragon, Spain. CIP plans to spend about 1 billion euros to build this wind farm, and spend another 1.4 billion euros on lifetime operations and maintenance, according to a socioeconomic impact report by an independent consultant. The project is expected to help provide more than 3,540 jobs, about 400 million euros in taxes, and enough electricity to power approximately 570,000 homes per year. “The Maestrazgo cluster is expected to have a positive socioeconomic impact on job creation and on the Aragonese and Valencian economies, and also on the value chain of the Spanish wind industry,” says Nischal Agarwal, partner at CIP. “The expected impact of investment and job creation figures make the Teruel project a benchmark for the sector in Europe." The project will benefit from GE Vernova's presence in Spain, where it has more than 4.3 GW of operating assets, an engineering excellence center in Barcelona, and two blade-production facilities. Specifically, blades for the 125 wind turbines will be manufactured at its factory in Les Coves de Vinromà, Castellón. Towers for the turbines are expected to be manufactured at other companies' Spain-based plants in Albacete, Burgos and Galicia. “We’re delighted to again support CIP to bring more wind power online to meet Spain's ambitious renewable energy targets and continue to contribute to the Spanish wind industry,” adds Vic Abate, CEO of GE Vernova Wind. “This agreement reinforces how we can use our workhorse product strategy to provide our customers with proven technology that enables them to build high-quality, high-performance fleets at scale to meet the demands of the energy transition.”"

Celebrating the 3rd anniversary of WindFloat, the first floating wind farm in Continental Europe with great production. Since 2020, WindFloat has provided clean energy to over 25,000 Portuguese families annually. The numbers are incredible: each platform stands at 30 meters high, and the whole platform is 212 meters, composed of three 8.4 MW floating wind turbines anchored at a depth of 100 meters. As they are prefabricated and anchored using chains, their impact on the marine ecosystem is minimal. The structure has an average lifespan of 25 years and, so far, it avoided 33,000 tons of CO2 for each year it has been working. From January to August 2023, WindFloat Atlantic achieved a cumulative production of 48,3 GWh clean energy. Its contribution to the goal of achieving 100% renewable energy by 2030 is remarkable. WindFloat is part of the future, and the plan is to expand its presence for clean and reliable energy! #EDPWeChooseEarth #AllGreen2030 #InnovationAtEDP #Windfloat

🌍 To celebrate Global Wind Day we're marking the continued growth of wind energy across the world. Last year was the best year ever for wind energy - with 54 countries installing turbines, meaning new capacity on every continent. Despite #windenergy's ongoing success, more needs to be done to address growth challenges by policymakers, industry and other stakeholders. Global collaboration is essential to address key challenges across trade, supply chains, investment, public support and grid infrastructure. Progress in these areas is required to accelerate wind and renewable energy growth in line with the 3x by 2030 target and a 1.5C pathway. #GWD24 #GWD2024 #windenergy #wind

Innovative executive | Driving strategic growth and operational excellence | Champion of sustainable solutions and team empowerment
When it comes to fulfilling the vision of a fossil-free future, there is no quick fix. No simply flipping a switch. Instead, the complex challenge lies in enabling a sustainable energy transition where conventional and renewable energy coexist effectively until the day when renewables can fully keep the world running. At Semco Maritime, our expertise and experience are deeply rooted in the challenges of both the conventional energy sector and the offshore wind industry. This puts us in a unique position to bridge today's and tomorrow’s solutions. Driven by the challenge. Powered by hard work and innovation. Building on 40 years of dedication – and yet just getting started. #EnergyChange #together

Australian Wind Energy Conference - #auwe2023 This was the most enjoyable, insightful and rewarding event I have attended as a delegate. Some really good points were covered off in the presentations and key subjects assessed in the panel discussions. I met with some great old and new faces and ones I’m looking forward to working with. I think to give people an insight who didn’t attend, points were raised about rapid reforms needing to take place for Australia to hit aggressive targets set by governments. These were: 🕰️ Approvals processes are four times slower than Europe #renewableenergy projects. 👷#australia has the same land mass as USA to deliver renewable energy projects, with a third of the people to do it. Creating a serious skills shortage for more senior #roles. ⛓️Supply Chain & Port Infrastructure - Improvement required to accept goods and materials to deliver the projects. If anyone would like to know more about the event, or if we can assist with some of the skills shortages in your business, please reach out - david@kintecglobal.com
The Australia Wind Energy 2023 conference in Melbourne was an amazing experience for our team. We connected with industry leaders, actively participated in insightful panel sessions, and gained invaluable knowledge and meaningful partnerships. This event ignited our passion and commitment to driving the renewable energy transition, and we take immense pride in the impact Kintec made. Looking ahead, we are eager to continue advancing the wind energy sector, shaping a greener, cleaner future for generations to come. 🌬🇦🇺✔️ A big thank you to David Toft, Calum Wilson, Andrea Constantinou and Matt Smith for their contributions and dedication during the Australia Wind Energy 2023 conference. #kinteccommunity #australiawindenergy #energyrecruitment
