At eGenesis, Inc., we are profoundly grateful to the patient who made the courageous decision to undergo the first-ever porcine kidney transplant. His generosity will advance cross-species transplantation so that we may one day realize a future in which supply is no longer a barrier to transplant and no patient dies waiting for an organ. Today, this future feels closer than ever before.    Arriving at this moment took the work of legions: physician-scientists over the past century who propelled this field forward despite long odds, our founders applying the multiplex editing capabilities of CRISPR to challenges that had until then been insurmountable, our visionary investors supporting this audacious mission, our eGenesis, Inc. team tirelessly iterating engineering and production over many years and as many payloads to achieve progressive improvement in recipient survival, and our collaborators at Massachusetts General Hospital and elsewhere facilitating extensive nonclinical studies to generate the outcomes that give us the conviction to offer our EGEN-2784 kidney to a patient in need.    Today we celebrate what collectively we have achieved.
