Really good discussion, with insights into what the future might hold for skills development and the increasingly vital role local decision makers are playing. As automation and technological change impact local economies, those in power in the regions need the tools to be able to respond. Automation does not mean fewer jobs, it will mean different jobs.

Over the year, I developed my communication, networking, negotiation, presentation, collaboration and other soft skills. As I progress, I still want more 😂 It is no longer new that skills are important to everyone, must especially undergraduate student. Aside the technical/hard skills, soft skills are necessary as we grow in our paths. Soft skills are interpersonal and behavioral skills that help you to work well with other people and develop your career. Kaiser Foundation for Social Development (KFSD) is having her 8th Edition of KFSD SOFT SKILLS TRAINING for Undergraduate students and young professionals. I have met great individual over the previous editions who have been of great value. 🔔Last week we focused on the 8 Types of Inclusive Language; this week, we'll level up to "Inclusive Policies & Practices (IPP)." Here are 10 steps you can begin to take today to level up IPP in your school: ✔️ Collect data to gauge satisfaction with current practices by surveying students, staff and faculty ✔️ Establish an Inclusive Practices Leadership Team to meet monthly to assess progress ✔️ Develop a DEIJB Action Plan and post it to your school's website ✔️ Review student schedules and update Individualized Education Plans (IEP) ✔️ Provide professional development learning opportunities to all staff ✔️ Prioritize family engagement and buy-in by clearly articulate the benefits of inclusive practices ✔️ Identify an Implementation Matrix (IM) to measure success indicators ✔️ Monitor plan progress and student performance over time ✔️ Revise IM as needed given the dynamic nature of DEIJB needs ✔️ CELEBRATE SUCCESSES: recognizing small everyday triumphs is an essential part of effective implementation of IPP, even if only briefly 🗣️Let's practice what we preach and implement practices that bridge equity gaps in our schools and workplaces🗣️ #stepstosuccess #celebrateippi #starttoday

Teachers are the cornerstone of education, serving as guides, mentors, and role models for students. They transfer knowledge, foster personal growth, and create inclusive learning environments. Beyond academics, they instill values, inspire curiosity, and promote critical thinking. Through their dedication and passion, teachers shape the future of individuals and societies, leaving a lasting impact on generations to come. Professional development is vital for teachers as it helps them refine their skills, stay updated with changes in education, address student diversity effectively, foster personal growth, build professional networks, and stay motivated in their roles. #LMTE #letsmaketeachingeasy #teacherprofessionaldevelopment
