Memorial Day is a time to reflect on those who made the ultimate sacrifice. I am a second-generation Italian American. My grandfather immigrated to the United States for a better life for his family in the “land of opportunity,” a huge risk all immigrants share. My father, mother, brother-in-law’s father, Sam Yoshihara, and my father-in-law, Don Heath, all served in WWII. They all embodied faith, took risks (real bullets, real death), and showed empathy in fighting against tyranny and oppression (both outside and in the United States). Their sacrifices are a powerful reminder, 'To whom much is given, much is expected.' We are the beneficiaries of their sacrifices and faith. We must use these blessings to create positive change. Are we actively seeking positive change, or are we complacent? Are we willing to take the same risks our predecessors did to stand against tyranny? Are we empathetic to the struggles of others, or are we self-centered and inflexible in our viewpoints? Their sacrifice was for positive change—to improve the world for their families and everyone. On Memorial Day, we honor sacrifice, but the best way to honor sacrifice is to take action — in your faith (in God and country), embrace risk (look forward), and show empathy to others daily. #MemorialDay #ItalianAmerican #Honor #Change #Sacrifice

Courage and Honour Courage, one of the key attributes if you want to step forth in life. But what is the next important attribute? I would say honour. It is one thing to be courageous, but also to live honourably. Being courageous doesn’t necessarily mean doing the right things all the time. Breaking into a bank also takes courage. Even a fool can have courage. Sometimes being courageous also means you are doing something that is not the best thing to do, but the most honourable. What do I mean by that? We have read history of soldiers withholding the enemies by fighting on a losing ground, sacrificing their lives. But those sacrifices also mean that a bigger cause like saving hundreds. It takes courage to withdraw as much as holding the fort. But honour is the real reason for choosing to fight. They died with courage and honour. Some people will say they are silly to lose their lives. But majority of others honoured them. Were these soldiers afraid at that point? Of course! But they chose courage and honour. It is always easy to take the convenience path. Though it is not necessary the right path. You may lose your job or money. But you walk away with your head held high. Live life courageous with honour. Stones and bronzes are built on that foundation. #GlennDailyWisdom

How do you define your boundaries? I mean, those boundaries that limit your God-given potential. Those boundaries that you have created in your own mind that tell yourself "I can't do this;" "I am not able to go one step further;" "I have had enough!" Look around - - - there are countless individuals who have broken through seemingly insurmountable boundaries or challenges. Erik Weihenmayer (blind mountain climber), Aaron Hale (Military Veteran and blind and deaf ultra runner), Todd Huston (politician and handicapped mountain climber), and the list can go on! Each and every one, has had an unquenchable drive to DO SOMETHING with their lives & to not let the circumstances that life dealt them to limit them. YOU TOO have this same potential - - - if only you would believe in yourself, believe in God who has created you for a purpose, and trust in Him to be with you in and through it all! So - - - what is holding you back? My guess is that it is YOU! Step out of the way, trust in God, and let Him work in and through you, and then SMASH those boundaries! #knownoboundaries #breakingboundaries #breakingthrough #nolimits #noexcuses #letgoandletgod #youcan #justdoit
