HR Trainer; Library Security Consultant; Expert Witness; Employee Coach; Workplace Violence Prevention; Author 26 books; Library Service, Safety, and Security articles and podcasts at Library20.com and TheSafeLibrary.com
The Safe Library Video Tip #26 is all about not falling into the trap some (Male) patrons try to create using social engineering. This is where they ask seemingly casual questions to try to find out more about you. Armed with even a little bit of information about your personal or professional life, they can use the Internet to invade your life. What can seem like flirting or asking you out can de-evolve into harassment and stalking. Don't share any information with patrons you do not know or trust. Don't worry about being impolite; you have the right to set and enforce boundaries about what you do or do not reveal. #Libraries #library #Librarylife #Librarymanagement

Join Build Reuse February 12-14, 2024, at the beautiful Kehoe Ironworks in historic Savannah, Georgia for our annual conference! The only North American conference focused explicitly on reuse in the built environment will host people from around the world to discuss the current economic, social, and environmental impacts of the building material reuse industry. For this year's event we've lined up twenty-four presentations over three days, plus keynotes, demonstrations and more. And we will celebrate being in-person with a special sunset oyster roast at the home of our local host Re:Purpose Savannah! 🦪 Decon + Reuse ‘24 will focus conversations around the theme Salvaging the Past, Building a Low Carbon Future. With the building materials and construction sector contributing 11% of global greenhouse (GHG) emissions, how can deconstruction and building materials reuse lead to a low carbon future? How do we best salvage not only the building materials from our past, but the stories, our sense of place, our community connections that are embodied within them? How does the past help us to build a low carbon future? Early bird rates are live through December 31 and include discounts when you bring the team. Register today: https://lnkd.in/gfnAc9G #circulareconomy #deconstruction #embodiedcarbon #reuse #lowcarbon #lowcarbonfuture #sustainabledesign

Because at TMP, we're not just about innovation. We're about doing it right. We are bollards! ▪Vision: To shape the future of our industries and make a meaningful contribution to a more connected and sustainable world. ▪Mission: To enhance the way that people live, work, and move ▪Culture: Our culture is created by the collective actions of our most valuable asset: our people. Together, we foster an environment of collaboration, respect, and inclusivity, where everyone's voice is heard and valued. ▪Values: Our values are our guiding principles, which we live each and every day: integrity, quality, curiosity, progression, and sustainability.
