Lessons learned from my mentors at Williams (Part 2) Career Stage: 1st Year Engineer Background: Senior Engineer passing on wisdom to young Gas Storage Engineer Company: Questar Pipeline Company Ping-Lin Chen: “Pay close attention to what the data is telling you, if you look close enough and ask others for their opinions…. You will find out the data is giving you the hint of what to do next.” “Remember, it is easy to say [what needs done] but hard to do.” Lesson Learned: College degrees and personal study are important, but don’t allow that knowledge to blind you from the wisdom found in the data and from those around you. Professionally we do very little by ourselves, but accomplish much as a team. The team is what converts a good idea into something spectacular for the organization.

Dear ExxonMobil, Please it is time to look into your work with Dragnet Solutions Limited. I have received many complaints about them from people on this platform. This has to do with the recently conducted Test on March 16, 2024. I know you to be a company of excellence and always proud to tell people I worked 7years for Exxon. I have tagged you to the comments in my post and as a responsible and responsive company, I know you will take swift action. See complaints and comments below. Thank you. 1. Alot of persons including myself picked virtual option but couldn't write the test yesterday due to network issues, emailed dragnet but yet to receive feedback from them. 2. The issue is Dragnet Solutions Limited, that’s how they frustrate candidates with one useless network or the other. They should scrap them cuz I see no reason why they keep frustrating people. 3. Once I see Dragnet. I move on!!! 4. She should forget it, nothing will come out of it. Dragnet conducting a recruitment process for Exxonmobil is a scam already. 5. People who didn't even study courses related were not allowed to write and you invited them for assessment. I studied Petrochemical, I almost got denied by those checking people in. But was given the opportunity to write because I have a Subsea Engineering certification Those that wrote virtually, won't be affected by the grade, even though alot couldn't write the assessment due to technical issues like network and the newly launched website for the assessment. #ExxonMobilLifeTimeAmbassadorFreeofCharge #CompanyOfExcellence

I recently completed 10 years of service at Williams within their Pipeline Safety and Gas Storage departments. My career has been blessed to have so many influential #mentors who have helped guide, direct, and invite me to grow within the organization. I’ll forever be grateful for their time. You know, someday you’ll get yourself a real job like in the Natural Gas Transmission Engineering group and build something complex.” #lessonlearned: Don’t limit your career by thinking you’ve become specialized and don’t need to learn more things. Learning elements from adjacent areas within your company and industry will help you differentiate yourself and add value wherever you are and whatever you’re asked to do.
