College Achieve Central High School is doing amazing things. It is a joy to teach there. If you want to teach at a school where the students love to learn and the faculty is on a mission, you should apply. Our misson? Every student that graduates from College Achieve Public Schools (CAPS) will be prepared to excel in and graduate from the top colleges and universities in the nation. How are we doing? Consider this, every student in the class of 2022 took three Advanced Placement (AP) courses and 24% passed one or more. It is mandatory to take three APs in order to graduate. That same year, the percentage of students that passed one more APs in New Jersey was 19.9%. NJ claims to have the #1 public school system in the nation. Last May, College Achieve Central's Class of 2023 took an average of more than 5 AP classes (2 more than required), and 48% of seniors passed one or more AP Classes. They doubled the previous year and more than doubled the passage rates of the state of New Jersey (48% to 19.9%). This year, the class of 2024 is taking an average of 6 AP courses - double the the graduation requirement. They are determined to be college graduates. Here is the breakdown ... - nearly 100% of our students are taking 4 AP classes or more - 78% are taking 5 or more courses - 56% are taking 6 or more courses As juniors, 53% of the Class of 2024 have already passed one or more AP exams. We are predicting more than 70% of our seniors will pass one or more AP exams this spring. Our graduates have been accepted to Harvard, Princeton, NYU, Rutgers, NJIT, Smith, and Howard. If you are new to teaching don't worry, we have a world class teacher training program, and our principal, Mrs. Brown, and her team are amazing at supporting and coaching up teachers. We are not a magnet school. Over 90% of our students are from Plainfield, NJ, and we are getting magnet like results. If you want to be part of something important and special, we welcome you to our ranks.
Join us for the virtual and in-person CAPS Job Fair-Plainfield and North Plainfield campuses on Thursday, December 7th from 4:30pm and 6:30pm. In-person interviews will take place at 107 Westervelt Avenue. On-the-spot offers will be possible for ‘23-24 and ‘24-25 positions! Please sign up here- https://lnkd.in/gX_kAWVP.

🚨 Attention Business owners looking for skilled labourers 🚨 The shortage of skilled labourers in the trades industries is a growing concern. 🛠️ As more young people choose to pursue college degrees, there has been a decline in the number of individuals entering the trades - This has led to a significant gap between the demand for skilled workers and the available supply. 📉 As a result, industries such as construction, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry & many of the trades are struggling to find enough skilled laborers to meet their needs. This shortage can lead to delays in projects, increased costs, and a strain on the overall economy. 🚧 This event is a great opportunity for business owners to find good employees to bridge that gap!

🗣️ ATTENTION EMPLOYERS!!! Are you interested in a free booth at the upcoming Cambridge Job Fair on Oct 27th, hosted by Kinbridge Community Association & Workplace & Immigrant Network??? One unique thing about this job fair is the preparation ✍️ that will be done with jobseekers as a REQUIREMENT prior to their attendance at the job fair. Jobseekers will receive information on the employers ahead of time, and prepare specifically for the roles that are a correct fit. 👏 This is a great benefit for employers who attended previous job fairs, but were blanketed with resumes 📄 that were not a good fit. However, to ensure this benefit is effective ✅, they need employer sign-ups with enough lead time to prep the candidates. Please click here to register: https://lnkd.in/geCRh7_5... 📣 DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS OCT 14TH, 2023!! Email LilyM@kinbridge.ca for more information

"Put yourself out there!" In the summer of 2022, my partner was suddenly faced with her company ceasing to exist. She had poured her heart into the organization for five years, with all signs pointing towards continued success. So, when the news hit, it felt like a ton of bricks. After taking some well-deserved 'me time,' she made her characteristic move: turning a problem into an opportunity. She assessed her skills, surveyed her network, researched upskilling, and did all the things one typically does during a career search. It all helped, but she credits one thing above all: "I put myself out there." With no previous experience in tech, she took a leap and applied for a job that appealed to her. She believed that if she could land the interview, she could showcase the value of her transferable skills and secure a position where she could leverage her ability to learn quickly in new environments. Fast forward a year and a half, and she's thriving (WOO-HOO!) in her fully remote role, relishing the challenge, and enjoying her fantastic new colleagues and managers. So, if you're among those wondering if tech is the right fit for you, remember: "Put yourself out there!" This Friday, March 1st, Denver Workforce Development is hosting a Tech Talent Unleashed Job Fair at the Park Hill Innovation Hub at Saltbox. What a fantastic opportunity to "Put yourself out there!" #Denver #DenverJobs #DenverTechJobs #DenverJobFair #PolishUpThatResume #PutYourselfOutThere
This upcoming job fair is searching for TECH TALENT! Join us for this in-person job fair 🤝, presented by the Colorado Technology Association and the Technology Employment Colorado Partnership. This event will bring together top-tier employers, local workforce regions, and various partners. Align your skills with leading organizations at the forefront of innovation. While job boards and websites can be helpful tools to securing employment, did you know that many employers do not advertise all of their open positions online? With the rapidly evolving employment market, positions are opening faster than companies can post them. When you arrive at a DAV job fair, it’s important to stop at every booth and see what open positions they have. You will be surprised at how many different skills you can bring to an industry you might not have considered. For the full schedule of 2024 DAV job fairs, both in-person and virtual, along with more employment resources for veterans, visit jobs.dav.org.
