Closing out a finance filled 7-days! Attended Point Zero Forum in Zurich with CEOs and Policymakers across Europe and APAC. Large international banks alongside regional banks, institutional service providers like Figment and foundations and protocols. Great to see discussions were not only around tokenisation, but also the future of DeFi, cross border finance, stablecoins, digital money and AI. A broad spectrum of topics that indicate the continued growth and maturity of the industry. We co-hosted an apéritif with our friends Crypto Finance Group and discussed the growth of our institutional grade staking partnership in Europe. Kasper Luyckx, Stijn Vander Straeten, Alessandro Fuser. Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Goldman Sachs Digital Asset Conference. Excellent discussions including Dan Morehead of Pantera Capital, Hunter Horsley of Bitwise Asset Management, Tony Ashraf of BlackRock and superb keynote from Yat Siu. Thank you Mathew McDermott! Key trends across all of these events were; the role of digital money, the importance of interoperability, Web3 enabling proprietary property rights and redefining network effects, how to increase the mobility of collateral, how to use smart contracts to resolve operational inefficiencies, the return of venture investments and market access via ETPs and ETFs, inc. the importance of staking in PoS products to secure the network. Overall, Web3 aligns network participants with owners and the potential opportunity is significant.
