The 11th Annual River Bend Tournament was a hit. We raised $185,000 to benefit our mission and programs. Andy and Joelle helped golfers with their drives at No. 10 and No. 3; the First Tee putting contest was fun and special guest, Steve Sands from NBC Sports/Golf Channel, answered questions and shared stories about his sports broadcasting experiences. Thank you to our sponsors: Integrated Companies, CRAFT, Cushman & Wakefield, First American, Mayer Brown, Harvey Clearly. And thank you to all the golfers! #buildinggamechangers

This week's FAQs Q: Hey JB, what's this Roll-A-Thon thing you keep posting about ? A: It's our biggest corporate fundraising event of the year. Q: Oh right, when and where is that then ? A: It's on Thursday 1st August at Sydney's Allianz Stadium. Q: And how long does it go for ? A: We start at 10am and roll for 4 hours until 2pm. Q: Amazing, how does it work ? A: Each team has a wheelchair that they have to propel around the stadium concourse on a tag-team basis. Each person can do a lap or two and then hand over to the next roller to do their laps. Q: Sounds great, and what happens when I'm not rolling ? A: You can enjoy the tunes at the DJ booth / dance floor, play some fun games with rollers from other firms, be amazed by our roving magician and soak up the atmosphere with a drink and some food from the Merivale team. Q: Incredible, can we dress up and raise funds as well ? A: Absolutely, dressing up is positively encouraged and any fundraising is very, very welcome indeed. Q: Brilliant, one last question.. How do we win ? A: Win ? LOL, it's a fundraiser.. But yeah, course you can win. There's a GPS tracker on each chair to record time and distance travelled, so we'll know exactly who's been putting the laps in 😉 Q: Sweet, how do we get involved ? A: Easy.. Just head to https://lnkd.in/gpiAehuw to register, create a team and invite your mates. Really couldn't be simpler, but let me know if you have any other questions. #rollathon #wheelchairsports #competitivefundraising

Not even the anticipation of the Matildas win could distract Luminary, Hardhat and Devotion from our Fred's Big Run Agency Challenge last week. We’re on a mission to run/walk to raise funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation, and if we happen to beat a couple of agency friends... then so be it 😉 Week 2 saw Hardhat take the lead, averaging 51.4km/person in just two weeks, leaving Luminary and Devotion in the dust to fight it out for second place, with only a few kilometres between us at 32.5km (Luminary) and 36.4km (Devotion). Hardhat, you will need more than a hard hat to hold your place at the top. We're going to make up that difference! Are you with us, Devotion? Here are some quick stats for those playing at home: 🏃♂️Luminary - $9,658, 1,738kms across 50 team members 🏃♂️Devotion - $2,297, 517kms across 13 team members 🏃♂️Hardhat - $1,089, 411kms across 8 team members Week 3, LET'S GO! 💪 #FredsBigRun #FBRAgencyChallenge

Good morning, Game Day Fans, We all love a great game and for many we love having our kids involved in competitive sports. The cost of competitive sports for children can be quite expensive. On average, families spend around $700 per year on each child's athletic participation, with some sports reaching into several thousands of dollars a year. Factors contributing to these costs include registration fees, equipment, travel expenses, and coaching. To help offset these costs and promote local businesses, Love Your Calendar offers the service - Game Day Calendars. We make a custom Game Day Calendar that you will love! Here is how it works: You take donations from your local community and in return we add their company logo and contact on your Game Day Calendar. All proceeds are yours to keep which goes to help pay for the team's expenses. Advertising opportunities on your Game Day Calendar can be quite beneficial as it raises money for your child's team and puts the team schedule in front of your local community. Everybody loves a great Game Day Calendar to plan travel and see the schedule coming up and everybody will Love Your Calendar with local advertising! Have a great Super Bowl Sunday! Peace and Love, PJ #gameday #sports #football #baseball #basketball #trackandfield #soccer #golf #gaming #love #family #friends https://lnkd.in/g4F3TwaJ

Mental Health Advocate | Governance Top 100 Finalist 2020-2023 | Change Maker | Board Member | Director - Local Government Professionals NSW
Help with one last push to raise much needed funds to help the Black Dog Institute do the great work it does in the mental health space. As you would know I put up a lot of posts to try and change attitudes to mental health especially in our workplaces. But this Sunday I am going to use my legs and not just my words to try and make a difference and raise some money for the Black Dog Institute at the same time. I am running in the Sydney Stadium Stomp. The full course event is a total of 7700 stairs covering both the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. But never being someone to do things by halves, and to encourage you to dig deep and donate to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute I am doing Stadium Stomp Unlimited. This means I will keep doing laps of the two stadiums (up and down every single stair) until I can't do anymore. I am aiming for at least two laps and hope fully three or more of each stadium, which would be more than 21,000 stairs. Now doesn't deserve a little bit of support and a bit of a donation to make the effort worthwhile. Donations are tax deductible in Australia. I have passed my initial fundraising target of $1000 to help Black Dog Institute. So please help me raise even more money by making a donation through my page and help me raise so much more. Hit the link below to donate Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them. By making a donation you are helping Black Dog turn their world-class research into life-saving action for those who need it most. Your support helps to fund education programs, digital tools and apps, clinical services and community webinars. Thank you, I really appreciate your support.

Business Development Manager at Impexdocs | Streamlining Import/Export Documentation Processes | Driving Growth & Building Strong Global Partnerships
Belief in Potential: The Power of Authentic Leadership "Belief in potential can drive incredible outcomes, turning challenges into unprecedented opportunities." In an era where the fast-paced nature of business and a quest for quarterly profits often overshadow the long-term vision, the power of belief stands out as a beacon. More than any strategy or policy, it is the belief in the potential of a team, of an individual, that can make the impossible seem attainable. For leaders, the act of believing isn't just about positive thinking; it’s about tapping into the latent energy of every team member, fostering an environment where people feel valued and motivated to give their best. Unfortunately, in many corporations, there's a significant gap between this ideal and reality. The allure of short-term gains, the pressures of share prices, or simply the race to outdo competitors can make some managers forget the most valuable asset of any organization: its people. A practice that's far too common sees leaders employing deceit, making questionable decisions, and prioritizing personal ambitions over genuine growth. Such actions might offer a temporary boost, but in the long run, they undermine trust, motivation, and the overall health of the organization. Middle management can often find themselves stuck in this conundrum, torn between upper management expectations and the realities faced by their teams. This disconnect can lead to mistrust, where managers might feel the need to "cook the books" or present an overly optimistic picture, rather than address genuine challenges. However, it’s essential to remember that true opportunities aren’t just about short-term gains or impressive numbers on a balance sheet. They are about creating lasting value, building relationships, and fostering an environment of growth and innovation. Enter Deon Sanders. His story serves as a refreshing reminder of what's possible when someone truly believes in potential. Instead of taking the easy way out or succumbing to the pressure of the moment, Sanders showcased that belief, paired with action, can yield phenomenal results. To all leaders out there: It's time to reevaluate your leadership style. Instead of perpetuating a cycle of mistrust and short-term thinking: Invest in People: Understand their strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. Empower them to be the best versions of themselves. Open Communication: Foster a culture where challenges can be discussed openly, without fear of retribution. Prioritize Long-Term Growth: Instead of just looking at quarterly results, consider the long-term implications of decisions. In conclusion, the most sustainable way to turn challenges into opportunities is by fostering a culture of belief, trust, and genuine investment in potential. After all, in the words of Richard Branson, “Take care of your employees, and they’ll take care of your business.” It’s as simple, and as challenging, as that. #BeliefInPotential
Colorado signed Deion Sanders to a $29.5M deal — without even having the money to pay for it. “We don’t have the money yet, but I know we'll have it." Buffs fans donated a record $28M to the athletic department and sold out season tickets for the first time in 27 years — and just watched their team beat last season's national title runner-up in Prime's very first game.
