Join #FCI next Tuesday, June 4th for an informative presentation on Maintaining Flow Accuracy and Repeatability in the Ultimate Quest for Process Perfection. This air/gas process #flow-measurement learning session will equip instrumentation engineers, process engineers, and technical maintenance teams with an understanding of the most common and expensive impediments to instrument accuracy and repeatability, and more importantly, proven calibration, installation and maintenance strategies to overcome them. Electrical instrumentation Automation & process contrl( Gas Chromatograph, Calibration, Star Delta wiring, tubing bending, instrument wiring and installation, PLC, DCS Programming, VFD Config. Valves stroking etc.)
routine check and maintenance of transmitters via simulation of 4 to 20 mA to respond to the set process value, response is checked between the field instrument and the DCS, with any deviation requires a rerange of the field instrument.

LEVELLING UP OUR CUSTOMER’S PROCESS INSTRUMENTATION KNOWLEDGE Today our very own instrumentation expert, Trevor Shaw has been running an in-depth technical workshop for one of our valued customers that focused on the latest advancements in level measurement technology. We kicked off with an introduction to various level measurement methods, weighing up when to select radar measurement technology and when to use ultrasonic. Then we dived into the level measurement portolfio from our partners at Siemens with a key focus on the clamp-in level measurement products, how it differs to tradition methods, and which applications they are best suited to. Finally, we wrapped things up by taking a look at real-world application examples of how Siemens level instruments helped to boost accuracy and drive process efficiency. Some of the other topics covered included: > Guidance on the installation process for Siemens Level Instruments > Configuration options and best practices > Maintenance tips and tricks > Common troubleshooting scenarios and solutions > How Siemens level technology integrates with various control systems > Communication protocols and compatibility We're always on-hand to help to support you with your next instrumentation project so get in touch with Jacqui Shaw if you need a little extra support. #processinstrumentation #levelmeasurement #technicaltraining

IVS 2024 – Digital Technologies applied to valves, actuation and control May, Wednesday 15th at 10.20 AM Estimation of Proof Test Coverage for Emergency Shut Down Valve Steve Kriescher Functional Safety Engineer, Instrument and Control Solutions (ICS) Register at https://lnkd.in/dP7tKGrn Digital Technologies applied to valves, actuation and control Industry literature including guidelines, papers and the views of experts, shows that estimates of PTC vary. These are based on numerous techniques which include quantitative, semi quantitative and qualitative assessments. Literature suggests the use of the failure modes, effects and diagnostics analysis (FMEDA) technique to determine PTC. The FMEDA technique requires knowledge of component failure mode percentages, the allocation of failure rates to specific failures and an understanding of what dangerous failures can be revealed by diagnostics (where applicable) and during proof testing. From the research undertaken to date it is evident that there is great deal of variation in the results of such assessments relating to ESDVs. The results obtained from several experts ranges significantly for a typical full stroke type test. This variation in results has the potential to impact the PFD and hence test intervals such that testing may be conducted too often (a cost penalty) or not often enough (a potential safety consequence). #IVS #ESDVs #Sustanaibility #AI #JIP 33 #Valves #ESG #CSRD
