Just like for-profit entities invest in CRMs to know their customers, a by-name list (BNL) enables providers to have a cohesive view of who is actively homeless at any point-in-time. Our approach, which has been refined thanks to support from Community Solutions, Inc. and Kansas City, incorporates HMIS data as well as outreach data gathered in the Show The Way app. 40% of individuals are unsheltered (70% in CA!) so this added data set is crucial. The BNL can be generated by city or town, which enables communities to have local ownership of their homelessness response. https://lnkd.in/gzEvrTMe
