Recently we had the opportunity to attend a Women's Empowerment Summit hosted by the Quad County Urban League. We had the honor of hearing from women across the region discuss diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the importance of advocating for one another. Thank you to everyone who shared their inspiring stories!

This #WomensHistoryMonth, we have a lot to celebrate, but also a lot to ponder. When thinking about feminism and the current feminist movement, one of the questions that always comes to my mind is: Have we truly been a women’s movement, or have we been a movement for certain women? No book better explores this topic than Mikki Kendall’s 2020 debut essay collection, “Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women that a Movement Forgot.” Kendall calls attention to the many ways in which the modern feminist movement has largely overlooked the trials and tribulations of scores of women who don’t “look” and “act” deserving of equal rights - including those who are poor, unhoused, and unemployed. As Kendall writes: “For a movement that is meant to represent all women, it often centers on those who already have most of their needs met.” This month, let’s remember that when we celebrate Women’s History Month, we also recognize the women who are the most vulnerable, marginalized, and dehumanized. The single mothers who are working hard to make ends meet, and the grandmothers living on Social Security; the women living on the streets, and the ones living in jail cells. If you do anything this month in honor of Women’s History Month, do something for them. And don’t just stop at this month, but do something all year round.
During Women's History Month, Mandy Eidson, Self-Help's Atlanta Regional Director of Business Development & Community Engagement, emphasizes the significance of celebrating diversity, equity, and inclusion. Let's honor the achievements of women from all backgrounds and continue building a more inclusive future. #WomensHistoryMonth #DiversityAndInclusion

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, I am filled with immense gratitude for the extraordinary women leaders who have influenced and guided me throughout my career. Their unwavering dedication, brilliance, and resilience have not only shaped my professional journey but have also inspired me to strive for excellence in all aspects of my life. Women leaders bring a unique perspective and invaluable contributions to the workforce, driving innovation, fostering diversity, and creating inclusive environments where everyone can thrive. Their presence and influence have a profound impact on shaping the future of industries and organizations worldwide. Our Women Leading at Crowe is such a great example of this, and I am so proud to surround myself with so many looking to make a true impact not just at work - but in the world around them. Women’s History Month serves as a powerful reminder of the remarkable achievements and contributions of women throughout history. It is a time to honor the trailblazers who have shattered glass ceilings, challenged societal norms, and paved the way for future generations of women to dream big and achieve their aspirations. Let us take this opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women leaders, acknowledge the progress that has been made, and recommit ourselves to advancing gender equality in the workplace and beyond. Together, we can create a more equitable and inclusive world where every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential. #WomenLeaders #WomensHistoryMonth #GenderEquality #Inclusion #Diversity #Empowerment #Vote #GoCrowe
This #WomensHistoryMonth, we celebrate the theme “Women Who Advocate for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion,” thanking all those who continue to drive positive change for all women. At Crowe, this includes everyone involved with our Women Leading @ Crowe programming over the years supporting the recruitment and advancement of women in our firm and our profession. #CroweDEI
