Summary: Drawing Circle is a new informal collaborative sketching event in the UX Inner Circle. We’ll start with a real product, redesign it by tearing it down, and then reimage a better UX or Service Design. Participants building portfolios will get full ‘case-study’ mentoring, being able to explain and credibly defend their design approach and outcomes. https://lnkd.in/eNsz8r7y

Wrapped up a fantastic course on sketching for UX designers by Matt Corrall!✏️ This course wasn't just about putting pen to paper – it was about unlocking the power of sketching for User Feedback: Quickly iterate on ideas with mid-fidelity sketches, gathering valuable user insights before diving into digital tools. Stakeholder Communication: Use sketches to effectively convey your design vision and key details in meetings, ensuring everyone's on the same page. Matt's emphasis on "the right details" in wireframes resonated with me. It's about striking the balance between getting feedback and communicating ideas clearly. Overall, sketching has become a game-changer for exploring new design solutions and freeing my creative mind. If you're a UX designer (or aspiring to be one), I highly recommend incorporating sketching into your workflow. #ThePowerOfSketchingForUXDesigner #UXDesign #uxui #Creativity

🌟 Dead-Ends: A Crucial Part of the Creative Journey! 💡 In the pursuit of innovation, encountering dead-ends is not a sign of failure but rather an essential part of the learning process. Far from being roadblocks, these dead-ends are vital waypoints on the path to discovery. In the words of Ed Catmull "by definition *discovery* means you don't know the answer when you start...'' - he believes it should not be easy. This resonates deeply with our approach to problem-solving in UX design. Ii believe that when we encounter dead-ends in our projects, it's a sign that we're exploring uncharted territory, pushing boundaries, and challenging assumptions. Instead of viewing dead-ends as failures, we see them as opportunities for learning and growth. Our process of searching for innovative solutions involves relentless experimentation, iteration, and refinement. We explore different design concepts, gather feedback from users, and iterate based on insights gained along the way. The UX design process is often likened to navigating a labyrinth, where every twist and turn presents new challenges and opportunities. Much like the intricate paths of a labyrinth, designing user experiences involves exploring multiple possibilities, encountering dead-ends, and seeking alternate routes. As designers, we must navigate through complex interactions, user preferences, and technical constraints, all while striving to create seamless and intuitive experiences. While the journey may be intricate and unpredictable, embracing the labyrinth-like nature of UX design allows us to uncover innovative solutions and ultimately guide users to their desired destination with clarity and ease. 🌀 illustration: Sean C Jackson 🚀 #Creativitesolutions #ProblemSolving #LearningJourney #uxproject #reflection #innovationindesign #designprocess

👋 Hello everyone, I’ve been diving deep into the world of Object-Oriented UX (OOUX) and using it for my projects. I’m excited to share some insights with you! Object-Oriented UX (OOUX) is not just another design approach, but rather a powerful enhancement to your existing UX process. It’s like having an x-ray vision that allows us to see the complete skeleton of an application right from the first step. Sounds impossible? Well, OOUX makes it possible! This approach doesn’t replace any part of your UX process. Instead, it can be seen as a pre-step that supports user research and provides a comprehensive view of the application. The result? Saved time, no technical and design debt, and a smoother, more efficient process for designers, developers, and managers alike. OOUX operates on the 📚 ORCA framework. Let me break it down for you: 1. Objects: These are the key components or ‘nouns’ in our system. Think of them as the main characters in our story. 2. Relationships: This is how our objects interact with each other. It’s like the plot in our story. 4. CTA Matrix: This is our ‘call-to-action’ plan. It outlines what actions can be taken on each object. 5. Attributes: These are the properties or ‘adjectives’ that describe our objects. Once we’ve defined all the components of the ORCA framework, we gain an ‘X-ray vision’ of our application. This not only eliminates the ‘Blank-canvas Anxiety’ but also simplifies subsequent steps like Sketching, Wireframing, and UI Design. In essence, every step becomes more straightforward when we have a comprehensive picture from the outset. But this is just the tip of the iceberg! I’ll be delving deeper into the fascinating world of OOUX and the ORCA framework in my upcoming posts. So, stay tuned for more insights and let’s continue this exciting journey together! 🚀 #OOUX #ORCA #ProductDesign

"🎨🧠🎶 Elevating Design: The Harmony of UX Beyond Pixels! In the realm of UX design, pixels are merely the tip of the iceberg. 🚀 It's a realm where empathy, creativity, and problem-solving come together in a symphony of innovation! 🎼🌟 Imagine this: Every user interaction is a note, every screen a canvas, and every challenge a chance to compose an unforgettable melody. 🎹📱💡 UX design isn't just about how it looks; it's about how it feels, flows, and fulfills a user's journey. Empathy forms the foundation. 💬🤝 Understanding users on a profound level – their aspirations, frustrations, and dreams – fuels the creation of designs that resonate. It's like walking a mile in their digital shoes! 👟💭 Now, sprinkle in creativity! ✨✏️ Infusing artistic flair into UX design transforms it into an experience that dazzles and delights. It's the unexpected color palette, the whimsical animation, and the intuitive layout that speaks a universal language. But here’s the magic ingredient: problem-solving. 🔍🔧 Every hiccup, hurdle, or head-scratcher becomes an opportunity. UX designers are the architects of solutions, crafting bridges between user goals and seamless interactions. So remember, UX design isn't confined to pixels – it's the art of understanding, the alchemy of creativity, and the mastery of turning challenges into triumphs. Let’s design experiences that resonate like a captivating symphony! 🌈🚀🎵" #UXDesign #Empathy #Creativity #ProblemSolving #DesignSymphony
