#mmWave fulfills the need for speed! It’s been a while since we’ve talked about the Gigabit speeds we can help mobile operators achieve using their mmWave networks and our Pivot 5G network repeaters. Thanks, Monica Alleven, for including us in your Fierce Wireless article about T-Mobile and Verizon using their mmWave networks to deliver gigabit speeds, as well as #5G fixed wireless access services and Pivotal’s role in the network. I've always said Visible isn't like other carriers - we really have no equal in the US market. Whether it's our hybrid model - we don't identify as prepaid or postpaid, but rather, somewhere in between - our commitment to serving the digital generations, or our dedication to really and truly showing up for our members, we hang our hat on doing things differently. #squarepegroundhole To bad I was not able to join this press event. I have about 20 questions that I would have liked to ask about this DAS. What do you think the economics look like for a that has only one operator in a Hotel with both FR1 and FR2 frequency being used? Other than in possibly the lobby and conference areas, why would Verizon need both 200 MHz or C-Band and mmW? "Millimeter wave’s short range and high bandwidth make it ideal for indoor coverage. On the Austin press tour, Verizon showed off a distributed antenna system (DAS) at a downtown Hilton hotel, noting the important role played by mmWave. The operator has recently added C-band spectrum to the DAS and is using both its A-Block and B-Block spectrum. So far, no other carriers have joined the DAS." Millimeter wave was the first #5G spectrum Verizon was able to deploy, but then took a backseat to C-band. But mmWave still figures prominently in the carrier's FWA and DAS plans. https://lnkd.in/ec3v8STb
