INTRODUCING BB JORDEN: A Lightweight Bottle In the ever-evolving world of spirit bottle packaging, we have witnessed a significant shift over the past two decades. Heavy spirit bottles, designed to exude a premium feel, once reigned supreme, with their weight and quality reflected in their higher unit prices. Back then, when energy, raw materials, and transport were more affordable, this approach seemed like an excellent idea. Today, however, we are witnessing a profound reversal of this trend. As an example, Systembolaget, the Swedish monopoly for retailing alcoholic beverages, is introducing a special category for lighter bottles, encouraging beverage companies to adapt their offerings to meet these new standards, with a target weight of 400 grams or less for a 700ML format. We are expanding our Bespoke by BLUEGLASS line by introducing the BB JORDEN—a lightweight reinterpretation of the classic stubby bottle, weighing nearly half as much as the traditional version. It is absolutely impossible." There's a certain something in the current drive for traceability, that brings to mind Heisenberg's uncertainty principle with clarity. While tracing single source commodities is easy and appealing, Doing so for global volumes is a challenge, not as appealing. It burdens and costs the small-scale producers. Shifting the weight of responsibility and expense, unfortunately. But perhaps the old mass balancing approach holds a touch of brilliance, If it can offer the right incentives, fulfilling the hopeful resilience. Kvuno and other organizations envision a path forward, where small-scale producers find encouragement and prosperity through tools such as Z'wardy.
