Production readiness (having a fully functional MVP) is one of the key criteria. Why is production readiness important? This isn't just another conceptual hackathon where teams try random ideas; this is a building hackathon. After a typical hackathon, few products are market-ready. Most are just proof-of-concepts, even if they win. Here, our goal is to leverage AI and deliver a fully functional Geekle.AI platform directly to customers. Tomorrow starts one of the most exciting "weeks" in the M&E industry. The NAB Show is where innovation and the future of production is found. This will be around my 15th show, but marks over 30 years in the business. I've seen a lot of industry changing inventions, and a lot of flopped marketing (*cough* 3D). Recently my family took a spring break trip to Orlando. My youngest is 5 years old, a Magical age, and we took a day to (re)experience DisneyWorld. The magic of the world Walt envisioned, bringing joy to the kids, made me leave my jadedness behind and enjoy the suspension of disbelief. "What does that have to do with NAB?" you ask. More than 1300 exhibitors will welcome an expected 65,000+ attendees to show off their latest hardware, software, and outer-ware. Like my children, I'll take a minute to stop and look around. Not just ahead, but up, down, left, and right. What exhibitor has an industry changing product? What will make me go "WOW, I've never seen that"? If you have or know of something that will make me pause, drop it (and the booth number) in the comments.
