We are thrilled to share the incredible success of today's volunteer day with Baby2Baby. Together, we made a significant impact by sorting over 2,000 items and packing more than 100 bundles for families in need.
Our collective efforts truly exemplify the spirit of community and compassion that defines our company culture. It was heartwarming to see everyone come together, dedicating their time and energy to support such a worthy cause.
Let's carry this momentum forward and continue to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Together, we can achieve remarkable things and create a brighter future for all.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent poll! It's been eye-opening to see the diverse perspectives within our community. While we strive for awareness, it's clear we may not always grasp the full picture of what's happening around us. Hopefully, this poll served as a catalyst, broadening our understanding and inspiring action towards meaningful support. Curious to learn more about initiatives making a difference? Check out the impactful work of our partner, New Life Centers. Together, let's continue to shine a light on community needs and champion positive change! 💡🌎 #WeavingImpact #NewLifeCenter#CommunityPerspectives #Awareness#SupportInitiatives#PositiveChange#NewLifeCenters#Chicago#LinkedInPost

Behind impactful work across communities, there are stories that should be told. Stories of givers, stories of receivers, and stories celebrating the power of partnership. There isn’t equity across communities when it comes to food, but there are people and organizations fighting for that equity and doing impactful work every day. It’s important for me to tell those stories because I know with each meal I prepare for my family or friends, there are many people who don’t have food to prepare for themselves or their families.
Some stories are brief and simple. Others are more complex and groundbreaking. But every story is important and impactful. And the more people we connect through these stories, the greater the collective impact can be.
I invite you to read these food stories at www.equalportion.com and be inspired to make a difference in your own little way. Maybe it’s your next volunteer opportunity. Maybe you’re looking for programs to scale-up or to build capacity through investment. Maybe a program in a little corner across the country inspires you to replicate in your little corner of the country. Or maybe, you just become a little more aware.
Enjoy reading “A Trip to The Market” because we all deserve an equal portion.

EVENT POSTPONED.
My sincerest apologies, but my kid and me are both having a sick day and will need to cancel.
Unfortunately, my preference is for me to lead it as I wanted to use this as the first sort of train-the-trainer type workshop. The things you learn, action and take-aways - you could teach someone else!
It is very practical as I want to move towards really clear, simple, engagement actions tied to BetterStreets for kids and coordinated everyday activism. How to manage that, engagement, and not get burnt out. The idea being to scale into a recorded series with templates and tools for you to use related to BetterStreets for Kids engagement.
New date/time to be set - post holidays.
Join us at the BetterStreets for Kids Workshop, a dynamic event dedicated to creating safer, more inclusive streets for our children. Spearheaded by Dr. me and Sara Stace, this workshop is a must-attend for anyone passionate about urban planning, child safety, and community activism.
🌟 Highlights:
Interactive sessions on urban advocacy
Practical skills for everyday activism
Networking with like-minded professionals
Resource materials for ongoing engagement

Free IRL resume reviews @Majors in Edmond, OK. Wanna run my ADA or IDM Groups? Say, "Hi!", if you're in OKC. Have hypermobility? I'll buy you a coffee, seated.
This is just to remind you guys (can't tag Mercy tho I followed them) that nobody from HR has called me back about the competency deficit in one of your doctors and the faulty original assignment to that doctor for me...
It would be embarrassing to tell everyone what he did and I haven't tagged him yet.
But I did talk to one of your HR resources and explain that I have retained a lawyer and I'm going to sue you guys big time as big as I can and I'm going to go find a bunch of people and I'm probably going to look for a class action...
I don't want to do that.
I would rather you guys understand the cost savings that I bring to the table... there is no need to send me to endless doctor appointments anymore. SoonerCare is a government program and I want to save it as much money as possible, while receiving accurate treatment.
I need one PCP appointment per quarter, one medication, and one IV treatment, and braces for sleeping. You also knew that I had neurosurgery but you would not refer me to neuro for follow-up even though my follow-up is overdue because that doctor does not accept my insurance.
I have the right to reject treatment.
I also have the right to sue you because you did not refer me to any doctor that can actually help me and then you kicked me out of your care.
I still have not filled out the negative feedback for that doctor at all because I didn't want him to get in trouble because it's not his fault.... he is restricted by his own training to have confidence in himself.
If that doctor's office called me and expressed the misunderstanding by the doctor and their ability to trust their own competency.... I would even go back to that doctor.
Y'all can skip the shame of apology.
I also realize that I have the right to make a big o sign and to sit my ass in front of your hospital.... and my temperature intolerance issues are remediated by the springtime.
My direct line is 817-344-9125. As of 5/6/24 there will be no voicemail... y'all somehow service people with no phone. If I don't get your call, please indicate here what the reply number is.
I formally release you of any efforts that you are making to ensure my right to privacy. You can release all of my PII as necessary.
In fact you can also release all of my health records out here in the public or anywhere you want.
