Your course copy, handled ✅ | Sell more of your 1:many offer with DFY messaging & copywriting | Rooted in your authentic, unique voice & value so you stand out & connect deeply
I will fight anyone on this: the proper way to build your brand's tone of voice is to start with your values. If you do it right, it means that your values are infused in every single thing you write, in a subtle and authentic way that people pick up on without realizing it. You just seem real. And real means trustworthy. And trustworthy means sales. I'll be going over exactly how I do this at the webinar this Friday with Sarah Hart ✤! Here's the event:

Something easy to get wrong is how your messaging is influenced by the product category you represent. Two musings inspired by two of the absolute legends (🐐s) of positioning, April Dunford and Andy Raskin: 1. If you sell a product within an established product category well understood by your buyers, you will have more "active demand"; people actively searching for product like yours. More overt product messaging and differentiation at the feature level could be critical. This kind of category is also better suited to April Dunford's approach. 2. If you sell a product that is within a less established product category, there will be more "passive demand" for your product; people not actively looking but could be convinced to buy product like yours. You might need to paint an industry vision to manufacture the need for your product. This kind of category is better suited to Andy's “strategic narrative” approach. Btw - this post was inspired by a post by Peter Kortvel where I commented something similar. Unsure this is how we share the love and credit but here I am.
