🌱 🦅 There is a lot of life in every photovoltaic plant. We strive to create comfortable spaces for animals and vegetation in the areas where we build our projects. In most of them we install shelters for birds and small rodents, in addition to reforesting the areas around the plant. Our goal is to generate green energy with a green approach.

"Exciting progress for renewable energy enthusiasts! 🌞 A federal judge has just green-lighted the SunZia transmission line construction in Arizona despite environmental concerns. This pivotal decision not only propels us closer to a sustainable energy future but also highlights the intricate balance between conservation efforts and infrastructure development. 🏗️🌱 The SunZia project is designed to transport wind-generated electricity from rural New Mexico to the Arizona urban markets. While environmentalists voiced unease over the potential impact on wildlife and habitats, this ruling underscores the urgency in transitioning towards green energy. 💡🌿 As we celebrate this milestone, the conversation around environmentally responsible construction practices remains at the forefront. It's a collective journey towards cleaner energy, and every step counts. How do you envision the future of sustainable construction? 🌍💬 #RenewableEnergy #SustainableDevelopment #Innovation"

Here's a tip for developing nations who are tired of being blamed by the West for harvesting their trees and creating plantations. Learn from Scotland: after cutting down a big section of forest, put up a windmill or two, don't replant, and get praised for your commitment to green energy. This can be especially helpful if you suffer from excess birds. https://lnkd.in/grZ97pGk

🌀 Can local ownership drive a green transition? 🔌 Islanders in Bornholm want to establish a locally owned windmill – an act for a sustainable future and to unite the island. We have interviewed 8 of them to explore the steps they took and the challenges they faced. "I think one lesson, among many, from the Bornholm Havvind case is that local involvement is important – but not enough to create change to a fossil-free sustainable energy system. As actors, we are always surrounded by enabling and hindering physical and social structures." - Elin Slätmo, author of the storymap. 💡 Read our full story and discover key takeaways for locally owned energy systems: https://lnkd.in/gniuDR4C

Why do we seek to bring more woodland into management? There are many benefits to managed woodlands. They help to provide low carbon renewable material, protect the security of our environment and also our economy. This is why one of our missions over the last ten years has been to bring more woodland across the UK into management. 44% of our woodlands are certified as sustainably managed, but there is still work to do, and you can help be part of the solution... #WoodlandManagement #UKWoodlands #Sustainability

❓Did you know Evesham Township is currently in the process of creating a Community Energy Plan (CEP)? 📌A CEP helps a community work toward a better environment for all residents by using the state’s Energy Master Plan (EMP) as a guide to align local efforts when planning for future sustainability investments and initiatives. 📌As part of this work, we're asking our community to offer their thoughts and concerns for Evesham's future green energy needs through a new online survey! ✔️Visit https://lnkd.in/ejbGK--P or scan the QR Code on the attached graphic to learn more about the purpose of a Community Energy Plan and how residents can help.

Money doesn’t grow on trees, but it certainly grows on sunshine ☀ We’re working with Equans UK & Ireland and the LHW Partnership LLP to deliver a new solar farm in Barkham. It’s a great investment for the local area as the solar farm could generate an income of around £2.74 million a year, helping us protect the essential frontline services our residents rely on so much ❤ It’s also a big win for our plans to help tackle the climate emergency, as the solar farm will generate a carbon saving of more than 6,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year, see thousands of new trees planted, and a significant improvement to the biodiversity of the area through detailed landscaping plans. We’re also creating a new traffic free greenway route to better connect local towns and villages and encourage people to ‘ditch their cars’ 🌍 Read more about this great scheme here 👉https://lnkd.in/gTjx4psD

Chestnut Carbon (Chestnut), a nature-based carbon removal developer, announced it has entered into a multi-year offtake agreement to provide Microsoft with nature-based carbon removal derived entirely from an afforestation project. With afforestation projects, trees and tree seedlings are introduced to establish a forest on deforested land or land that has not been previously forested. The project will see Chestnut grow its capacity to 500,000 acres and 100 million tons of carbon removal to meet the increasing demand for high-quality, cost-effective carbon removal solutions by corporations and governments. Through this project and the signing of a 15-year offtake agreement with Microsoft for nature-based credits, Chestnut will deliver 362,000 tons of projected carbon removal from its Sustainable Restoration Project Phase I and up to 2.7 million tons in aggregate across subsequent phases.
