Sunday evening it is. I was scanning my book shelf and saw "The Almanac of Naval Ravikant" Couldn't resist to share a few of his gems! Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Naval Ravikant - 1. Earn with your mind, not your time. 2. A fit body, a calm mind, a house full of love. These things cannot be bought—they must be earned. 3. If you really want to get rich, you need to be doing something that is valuable to society and that society does not yet know how to train people for. 4. The most important trick to be happy is to realize that happiness is a choice that you make and a skill that you develop. You choose to be happy and then you work at it. It’s just like building muscles. 5. All the real benefits in life come from compound interest. 6.The genuine love for reading itself, when cultivated, is a superpower. 7. It is almost always possible to be honest and positive. 8. Escape competition through authenticity. 9. Seek wealth, not money or status. Wealth is having assets that earn while you sleep. Money is how we transfer time and wealth. Status is your place in the social hierarchy. 10. Forty-hour workweeks are a relic of the Industrial Age. Knowledge workers function like athletes—train and sprint, then rest and reassess. 11. Play iterated games. All the returns in life, whether in wealth, relationships, or knowledge, come from compound interest. 12. If you can’t see yourself working with someone for life, don’t work with them for a day. #wordsofwisdom #Navalravikant #personaldevelopmentcopywriter

You will die one day. Embracing death is a powerful way to live your fullest life - here’s how: Life on earth is short. Your life changes when you think about death. Naval Ravikant talks about this in a perspective I didn’t fully understand. He says: ↳ enjoy yourself ↳ sleep well at night ↳ be a good moral person ↳ take care of other people If you can do this, you’ll be happy on this earth. This made me think about my time. Time is the only thing we have. What we spend our time on is our life. Your calendar is your life. What’s on your calendar that you want to remove?

Today we mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day, a pivotal moment in our history. On June 6, 1944, Allied forces from over 12 nations landed on the beaches of Normandy to fight against tyranny and oppression. The bravery and sacrifice of those who fought on that day, and in the days that followed, will never be forgotten. We honor the memory of those who gave their lives for our freedom, and we express our deepest gratitude to the veterans who are still with us today. May their courage and selflessness continue to inspire us. We must teach our children and grandchildren the lessons of history so that they may understand the sacrifices made for the freedom we enjoy today. We must pass on the stories of courage, honor, and sacrifice so that future generations may learn from the past and strive for a better world. The Allied nations that landed on D-Day were: Australia Belgium Canada France Greece Netherlands New Zealand Norway Poland United Kingdom United States May we always remember the lessons of history and strive for a world where such sacrifices are never needed again.

https://lnkd.in/g9TVBK2E Taking it forward from my last post👆🏻, happy to share a few insights from Naval Ravikant's book, The Almanack of Naval Ravikant. ⏩ “Learn to learn", says Naval. Some call it practice. Others say repetition. He suggests learning by doing since that is way beyond formal education. ⏩ “Grit comes from an internal drive." Perseverance is my favourite trait to practice to gain success and can help overcome any obstacle. ⏩ “Build a powerful network and nourish it. Network power is real power.” This one comes across as extremely essential for me. Whom I am surrounded by, surely creates a parallel energy and encouragement for me. ⏩ “Spend more time taking care of your body and mind, it’s the only one you’ll ever have. Invest in yourself more than anything.” A sheer validation from Naval since my main intention to start reading this book along with the other two focused on being better at mindfulness and those who know me closely will second my inclination towards working out. I have been a happy reader of this part 😀. ⏩ “Suffering and discomfort are required to become stronger, better, and wiser.” I resonate with this since I have never run away from negative situations but have mostly wondered why am I being hit so hard. Lately, I learned, accepted and calmness seems to have become my new attribute. Let's embrace these lessons and strive for growth! #NavalRavikant #selfimprovement #mindfulness #successmindset

Why is it that so few people follow their own star? Why is the star such a heavy burden? Because following your own star means isolation, not knowing where to go, having to find out a completely new way for yourself instead of just going on the trodden path everybody else runs along. That's why there's always been a tendency in humans to project the uniqueness and the greatness of their own inner self onto outer personalities and become the servants, the devoted servants, admirers, and imitators of outer personalities. It is much easier to admire a great personality and become a pupil or follower of a guru or a religious prophet, or an admirer of a big, official personality-a president of the United States-or live your life for some military general whom you admire. That is much easier than following your own star. ~Marie-Louise von Franz, Way of the Dream, Page 50

📚 5 (more) powerful quotes from THE ALMANACK OF NAVAL RAVIKANT, by Eric Jorgenson: “The three big ones in life are #wealth, #health, and #happiness. We pursue them in that order, but their importance is reverse.” “Happiness is there when you remove the sense of something missing in your life.” “Real happiness only comes as a side-effect of #peace. Most of it is going to come from #acceptance, not from changing your external #environment.” “The enemy of peace of mind is expectations drilled into you by society and other people.” “A rational person can find peace by cultivating #indifference to things outside of their control.” 🧐 What would your life look like if you could live by ALL these truths? How would you show up differently? 🐐 This life is available to you - if you want it badly enough. Message me to learn more!

📚🌟 Just finished reading "The Almanack of Naval Ravikant"! Naval Ravikant is a visionary thinker who shares valuable insights on happiness, health, and wealth that are truly eye-opening. When it comes to happiness, here are three remarkable takeaways that left a deep impression on me: 🌱 Internal vs. External Validation: Naval reminds us that real happiness comes from within, rather than seeking validation or approval from others. Finding contentment in our own values and appreciating ourselves brings lasting joy. ⏳ Being Present in the Moment: Naval highlights the importance of living in the now. Happiness isn't in the past or future, but in fully immersing ourselves in the present and enjoying life's simple joys. 🌄 Gratitude and the Joy of Having: Gratitude is a powerful way to find happiness. Naval encourages us to shift our perspective and focus on the good things we have. By appreciating what we have, we open ourselves up to a more fulfilling and joyful life. Did you read this book "The Almanack of Naval Ravikant"? What where your insights?
