Today is World Mental Health Day. Over 150 countries have observed World Mental Health Day since its founding in 1992. The goal is to educate, move beyond stigma, and create awareness around mental health education and treatment options. If you or a loved one is in a mental health crisis show your support by: *Offer your support, understanding, patience, and encouragement. *Be a good listener. *Extend social invitations. If they decline, keep trying, but don’t push. *Never ignore comments about suicide. Instead, report them to your loved one’s doctor, therapist, or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. *Help your loved one find an effective treatment for them. #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #worldmentalhealthday

Misconceptions surrounding suicide can be a huge barrier to understanding and support. It's crucial that we challenge these misconceptions, not only to promote empathy but also to save lives. By addressing the facts, we can break the stigma that often exists around discussions about mental health and in particular suicide. Asking the right questions can be the first step in saving a life. It shows that we care, we're not judging, that we're willing to listen, and that we're here to help. To make a real impact, we must continue learning about mental health and suicide. Education and training are essential components in equipping ourselves with the knowledge and skills needed to support those in need. By staying informed, we can better contribute to reducing the stigma associated with mental health issues. #MentalHealthMatters #BreakTheStigma #SuicidePrevention #EndTheSilence #YouAreNotAlone #MentalHealthTraining #SupportingMentalHealth

Today is 'Time to Talk Day', encouraging the nation to have more conversations about mental health, run by Mind. A simple conversation has the power to make a difference! We take the mental health of our colleagues, seriously. As well as access to counselling sessions and a GP line for all colleagues, we have 5 colleagues that volunteer as Mental Health First Aiders, and are on hand to anyone across the society. 1-4 of us will experience mental health problems in any given year and all too often it's easier to tell people we're 'fine' than it is to say how we really feel. Let's reduce stigma, have those conversations and empower people to seek help when they need it. #TimeToTalkDay #mentalhealth #mhfa

Today is Time to Talk Day, highlighting mental health and the importance of reaching out to others. This day aims to help people open up and be honest about mental health without the fear and stigma often attached to the topic. It can be daunting to express personal struggles, and because of this, many people keep everything bottled up. Today, help raise awareness about mental health and be a part of changing the narrative. Remember that the 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, as well as prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones. #988lifeline
