Time flies when you’re working hard! 2023 marked a year of incredible growth for the Frontline Resource Institute and I couldn't be prouder of the successes we have achieved. FRI was founded two years ago, and we have come so far in that brief time. I am immensely grateful for my amazing team and FRI’s conceptual committee for their guidance and leadership in 2023. Let me remind you, FRI has one clear vision: healthy, safe, and sustainable environments for all. In 2023, we completed our comprehensive needs assessment of 300 frontline organizations, partnered with Writing for Green to provide grant writing and training to help organizations secure over $130 million in federal funding, and so much more. As we enter a new year, the work doesn’t stop. We know there is still much to be done in the fight for environmental equity, and we will continue to build momentum in 2024. We’ve compiled everything we’ve learned into one simple equation: data + storytelling + resources = movement building. As we follow this equation in the new year, we are moving closer to our vision than ever before. Check out our full report to see more 2023 wins here: https://lnkd.in/eejidyYZ

What we work on at Broth&Co is to empower both farm gates and consumer ones, where awareness arises as the catalyst for fair profits and reset of the equation set for decades. When powerful institutions do not make the maths be it difficult, to make the bill payable by stakeholders, streets strikes shocks happen, not yet riots. It could be simple to make carbon if right reference first, to be monetized and make sure the farm gate bill is shared by the size of impact, cashcowing the inflation problems for logistics solely added value, real estate and brand/packaging driven, is this virtuous? we at B&C are not activists but active, in doing connection within a first promotion of 8 companies, with synergies, from roots, soups, tracking sales protocols from supply, valuable habits for consumers starting with no single plastic use, and with mixing resources, one conceives, one produces, one distributes, one upcycles. More to come after our coming event March 7th, for investors like-minded. As we are at Novalpian. Backstage working, small to big. Simply Souperlicious, Lupifood, SwissImpactStore, Nuha, Back to Roots, Proseed, Bluana, Hexem, and Tree of Life, be part of the event. PM me to know more and reserve a seat. 📆 Broths, brothers, good sense, no fatality in treating our regional ecosystems for the right way, and recipes will work hopefully to bigger federations, in this world.

VERIFI® In-transit Concrete Management is not often thought about as a carbon reduction tool, but using machine learning to reduce material and increase operational efficiency is a great way to lower the carbon footprint of your ready mix concrete. AT&T helped VERIFI quantify that savings through The Carbon Trust study. Just another way VERIFI® In-transit Concrete Management can use digitalization to improve your business.
Jason Straka, our Verifi project manager, had the privilege of contributing to a Climate Initiative Panel at this year's GreenBiz Group event in San Jose, CA. 🌱 From engaging discussions to fruitful collaborations, it was inspiring to connect with government leaders, nonprofit representatives, investors, and fellow business experts dedicated to shaping a sustainable future. Thank you to AT&T for hosting a breakout session, and the exclusive CCI participant lunch was a great opportunity. Grateful for the chance to be part of such a impactful event!

Our 2023 impact report is now public!
We are pleased to share our 2023 impact report, complete with our progress as well as transparency around our failings and learnings. Thank you to everyone who reviewed the earlier drafts and we hope you will see how your comments have only helped to increase the clarity of our words and of the design. Our ambition has been crafted through feedback from our stakeholders and understanding our global challenges and our goals for sustainable action have been designed to focus on where our business can have the most significant impact. Our three core pillars of action: Waste reduction, Decarbonization and Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion are all tied to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. These pillars are encompassed by our central tenet of collective action through diverse partnerships. We rely on these relationships to challenge, guide and collaborate with us on responsible business practices. They include industry associations, nonprofits, and B Corp network groups. We still don’t have all the answers on how we will meet all our goals, but experience has taught us that bold ambition and embracing the fear of the unknown, creates an innovative environment where answers are found. Good food for thought on good endings for organisations here.
In recent years there have been a proliferation of blogs and books about how to be a good friend to people who have lost a loved one. This is a blog from me and Zoe Stanton about how to have better conversations with people who are facing, navigating or processing the end of an organisation’s life, and in doing so how you might be helping to build a thriving and more regenerative civil society. The Decelerator, like many in civil society, is grappling with how to navigate this period of immense change and loss, reframing endings not as mere temporary setbacks but as symptoms of larger structural shifts. It falls upon all of us to react with empathy, understanding, and a determination to glean insights from our losses. (With input and ideas from The Decelerator's crew and friends including: Camille Emefa Acey, Louise Armstrong, Lily Piachaud, Josephine Knowles, Linda Craig, Max St John and Cassie Robinson. And was inspired by the many insights and experiences of the leaders we have the privilege of standing alongside through The Decelerator’s support work) https://lnkd.in/eGUZE2w5
