Green Thumb Industries (GTI)’s Post

The Florida Supreme Court today affirmed that the Smart & Safe initiative to legalize adult-use cannabis can appear on the November ballot! We applaud the court and look forward to voting YES on 3! 🗳️ 🌿👏

I am urging voters in Florida to reject this law because it denies you your primary right to grow this plant at your own home without oversight. it doesn't allow you to grow this plant at all. locking you into a corporately controlled supply chain that is not truly legalization it is unacceptable. I urge you to vote no on this

Complete corporate control over the plant is something worth celebrating? There is no homegrow, and as far as I know, reparations aren't being made to those who have faced criminal charges/incarceration.. soooo in other words, if you are NOT big a big corpo canna company like Rise, Trulieve, Curaleaf, Muv, Cookies, or one of the other companies that wish to monopolize this plant, you're NOT actually winning. This is on the ballot to make the rich richer. They don't actually care about us being able to buy our medicine freely.

Green Thumb Industries (GTI) not even close to acceptable regulation and only allows big corp to play

We have to educate people on WHY voters should vote to implement this legislation. When we provide education to people who may have associated certain stigmas with cannabis, it makes rationalizing this legislation and identifying the pros and cons easier . Education is always key!!!

Ashley, yes we need to get legislature to level the playing field which the Fl Supreme Court said at the hearing I attended last year to put it in the ballot. Yes they need to level the playing field and yes include a social equity piece for sure! I feel Florida needs to break the vertical integration so the small guy or woman can enter this industry. I do feel once it is rescheduled at the federal level (this year hopefully) then maybe Florida legislatures will break the monopoly you speak of, Ashley. I am optimistic and encouraging anyone I know to vote yes! My goal is to one day own a dispensary and shop healthy products nationwide! Florida is way behind and Gov. Disantis not a cannabis supporter. Also Florida raised license fee for MMTC companies to over a million every 2 years. No small business person passionate about the plant can afford that especially with the E280 tax law for cannabis businesses. Things have changed nationwide and Florida legislators and the Governor and the attorney general needs to open their eyes and listen to small business entrepreneurs, who are passionate about the plant and want to educate Floridians how the plant can improve ones quality of life! 😍
