Great to see the efforts of the LEAD Europe Chapter being celebrated with so many people organising behind the scenes and everyone participating with smiles and joy. A few more perspectives from the Networking Week:
Deepti Pahwa (Zurich): "We've turned this networking game into an awesome party. We have friends in almost any part of the world. It's like a LEAD carnival from to Madrid, to London to Zurich to Oslo to Berlin, Munich, Yeveran, Paris, to Sofia. There is power in these local communities. We just want people to connect with each other to have fun together but also to work with each other, bond with each other and be there for each other."
Sofia Toteva (Sofia): "We all came to the conclusion that Stanford LEAD and the GSB in general is a fantastic place to be. But it's is even more inspiring when you have this network of connections. A few members of the club shared their success stories of how they succeeded in their business and personal life using these strong connections with Stanford."
Carlos E. Santos Saint Romain (Munich): "I really love the spirit that I get from these meetings. We can talk and engage. It's relationship building at another level. I love repeating with the same familiar faces and it starts to transform into a community. I look forward to having more meetings like that and I can go to Sofia, London, Cambridge, Madrid, Azerbaijan and ask if someone wants to meet up for a coffee."
Daniel Nascimento (London): "We had people from the third cohort and from the eighth, and those who just joined LEAD. We were telling them what to do, how to get the most of it, the hard parts, and what's more fun. We had conversations about the topics we are facing right now, regarding the wars, sustainability, career advice, and maybe the biggest topic in LEAD, about power - what to do and what not to do, how to do. It was really nice to get connected with old friends."
Last month, Stanford LEAD participants and alumni got together in 9 different cities across Europe for a series of events as part of the annual LEAD Europe Networking Week! This networking week is organized by the Stanford LEAD Europe Chapter, founded by and for LEADers in 2018 to connect members of the LEAD community in, from, and interested in Europe.
The LEAD Europe Chapter is led by Emilie White, Deepti Pahwa, Juana-Catalina Rodriguez and Jacco Kort. "With countries opening up for travel at different rates during the pandemic, the LEAD Europe Chapter moved from online meetings to deciding to do whatever we could, wherever we were, to meet up. This forced us to innovate and we found a perfect way to connect with local LEADers or visit each other in different cities by creating an annual networking week," said Emilie White.
