🌟 Did you know that women-owned firms now make up nearly four in ten U.S. businesses, generating $2.7 trillion in annual revenue? According to The 2024 Impact of Women-Owned Businesses Report, commissioned by Wells Fargo, women-owned businesses have been growing at almost double the rate of those owned by men since 2019. However, there are still barriers to overcome, especially for women of color, to fully unlock their potential. As we navigate through the ever-changing economic landscape, it's inspiring to see women leaders thriving and making a difference. Do you have a voice at the table or just a seat? Titles are nice, but they don't make you a leader. Leadership skills are great, but without authority, you might never get to display them. My executive clients have titles that say "she's the boss": Sr. Dr, VP, SVP, CMO, CHRO, CGO, CFO... They've reached their rank because they have the skills to lead beautifully. But that doesn't mean they always get to. Sometimes, your reputation and your actions strip you of the authority you need to lead powerfully. When that happens, your title means NOTHING- you're stuck. One of my clients was named global director of sales for a growing start-up. She inherited the most profitable markets and the most challenging team. But her "nice girl" reputation got in the way of her ability to lead powerfully. Her team liked her well enough, but they didn't respect her authority. Her CEO hired Noteworthy to help her step into her authority, leverage her top value, and support their growing success.
