Today I learnt an interesting fact that Leadership is not about Power, it is about Influence. As leaders positive influence is key to drive high performance teams and build future fit leaders. It eliminates fear from teams and instills drive to deliver with integrity. Such a leader encourages employees to be better leaders in their own territories, and enable them to take ownership of business strategy and be accountable for their actions without Fear. Now the below table just sumed up how an Effective Leadership should look like, Serve and Positively Influence Teams/Employees. Right or wrong, these two inspired me to be a better leader in my own right.
I came across the below on Instagram and saved it because it spoke to me. Last week at our AfroCentric Leadership Conference our CEO touched on being a Servant Leader. That…screamed at me!

Performance Coach for Revenue Leaders & Salespeople | Decoding Performance Psychology 🧠 | Creating coaching cultures in the world of Saas
Great post Ash Takher 🙌 Nature versus Nurture. I believe potential can grow. Certainly, our perception of what our potential is can absolutely grow. (And this is perhaps, more important). Our potential expands as we create environments that allow it to. If you are unsure if this is true, contemplate the following examples. - Who do you become when you are around your parents / siblings? - Who do you become when you have a great boss versus a poor one? - Who do you become when failure is not an option? (think project deadline, protecting your family, winning a sports game) Our potential (or perception of our potential) increases when the environment is conducive. The question we should be asking is, how can we create environments that are conducive to reaching our potential? And how can we do this for our teams?

Do you believe you can GROW your potential, or is it a fixed parameter at some point and the question becomes whether you reach that potential or not? That was one of the key debates and questions I had during a fantastic leadership seminar yesterday Phil Nayna in association with Soho House & Co with some other great business leaders. Chime in with some insights!

I'm really honored to have been invited to participate in the EMS Leadership Academy 5th Annual Summit! It has been fascinating to watch the summit grow from an idea that some considered ridiculous in 2019 to a virtual conference that provides an experience that is just as good as, and sometimes even better than, an in-person gathering. This is particularly true for EMS systems with limited budgets for travel and training but with the same requirements for expertise as larger organizations and sometimes even greater ones. With the global pandemic, what was once considered absurd has now become a "godsend" for many people who would not otherwise have the chance to attend one of these events in person. Robbie MacCue, MBA, FP-C, and Lisa Giruzzi have developed an outstanding program that offers cutting-edge information to the EMS community. Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to get informed and energized without the hassles of travel and nights away from home.
