https://lnkd.in/g7ztT3H2 Hiring Managers: Maximize your Time During the Interview Process Distractions during the interview process are unavoidable. How can you better ensure you are investing your time toward the optimal outcome? Before starting your search, get clear on what you want and why in your candidate profile, and on key details about the opportunity that will be important to candidates. If any of these details change throughout the process, you will have invested a lot of your time, and likely others on your team, for a fruitless effort. Happy Interviewing. Hiring Processes are being drawn out again. The time between CVs received and feedback is getting longer, time between interview stages is going up, extra rounds are being added. Even in a quieter market, candidate experience is so important and extending the process is not a good look for your company. People will form their opinions based on the the interview process alone. Making candidates jump through hoops will ultimately decrease your chances of secured top talent!

Create an ‘Ask Me Anything’ round for your candidates. So many companies are running interviewer led/top down processes. In a competitive hiring market, this isn’t enough. Have the candidate interview you. It will: - Offer more transparency - Build more trust - Symbolise servant leadership - The candidates line of questioning will tell you a lot 😉 - Align leadership on strategic goals - Gain an edge on your competition Try it, it works.

Does your hiring process stop you from getting who you need? Potentially if you aren't outlining it from the start. From my experience candidates don't pull out of a process because there are too many rounds, they pull out because it's an absolute shambles. - 3 stages have turned into 5 - Waiting weeks for feedback - Stakeholders running one-way interviews What to do? - Outline the process and stick to it - Provide feedback within 24 hours - Improve your interview techniques It's definitely an employer's market right now but WHEN the market shifts poor practices will catch you out. Small changes can make a big difference. #hiring #gtm #recruitment
