Recently, I participated in the Women's Health Summit hosted by Luminary and HerMD in New York City. I learned so much, and I want to share two takeaways. Cindy Eckert, founder of Sprout Pharmaceuticals, Inc., talked about women and low sexual desire in her keynote. She highlighted that women must understand two things: 🩷 Low libido is not their fault, it's biology; and 🩷 A solution DOES exist (a little pink pill called Addyi). Spread the word. And talk to your doctors about which options will work best for you. I'm so thankful to Somi Javaid, MD, Komel Caruso, Cate Luzio, and Caro Carmichael for inviting me to be a part of this event. My co-panelists were amazing - Asima Ahmad, MD, MPH, FACOG, Melissa Anzelone, Laura Okafor Crain, and Carine Carmy. So grateful to be able to talk to them about hormones, pelvic floors, millenopause, and everything women need to do to prepare for the transition from postpartum to perimenopause. Last, and always, I'm so thankful to all the women who showed up to learn, share, and take this on TOGETHER! #womenshealth
