Attention all California residents! It's important to understand that the California Fair Plan (CAFP) is not a reliable option for proper risk management. While the emergency state program serves as a last resort for those who can't find coverage on the standard or E&S market, it is not meant to be used as an immediate go-to. If your advisor is recommending CAFP, it's crucial to question whether they have the knowledge and access to other markets. We've observed oversaturation on the CAFP, which will inevitably impact claims.
