Co-Founder & Director | Placing World-Class Digital Marketing & Sales Professionals Across the US 🇺🇸
Had a really interesting lunch with a CEO for a health tech company yesterday… One of the things we discussed was how he ensures anyone hiring in his company HAS to provide candidates with a list of topics they want to discuss in their interview. He said it means candidates can come in prepared as he isn’t bothered about putting people on the spot. It creates unnecessary stress and isn’t needed in their day to day duties, so why bother? “It’s not a memory test. I just want to know if they’re the right fit for my company” I love this, and also told him how it creates a consistency to their interviewing too as they’re covering the same topics each time. Do you do this? #recruitment #recruiting #interviews

Providing actionable feedback to interviewers- Informed Decisions take Thank you to everyone who participated in our survey: 'Should companies provide interviewers with actionable feedback on their strengths and biases during interviews?' At Informed Decision, our resounding answer is a definite 'YES'. Here's why: Interviewers, like professionals in any field, need feedback to improve. Imagine a basketball player not knowing if they scored, a surgeon unaware of their operation's outcome, or a salesperson clueless about closing a deal. Feedback is crucial. Recruiters often lack visibility into their hiring effectiveness, as their involvement typically ends once a candidate is hired. Hiring managers, on the other hand, feel the impact of a good or poor hire but often can't link it to specific interviewing practices. Providing both groups with data-driven insights is a crucial step towards enhancing hiring accuracy and fairness." #interviewfeedback #biasaudit #informedecisions

I Help Seasoned Professionals Land 6 Figure+ Roles They Truly love | Job Search Expert | Former Recruiter | Founder
A healthcare executive recently shared his disappointment after a final round interview. He received this response: "It's not our policy to disclose the reasons for not selecting you." That left him feeling concerned about the transparency of the hiring process. Providing feedback is a sign of respect for the candidates' time and effort. It shows that the company values them as professionals, even if they do not fit the current role. Let's encourage companies to offer meaningful feedback to candidates. A small change can make a significant difference. #management #humanresources #hiring #jobinterviews

𝗪𝗵𝗮'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲? When it comes to hiring, striking the perfect balance in the number of stakeholders is key. Having too few may result in missing crucial insights, while too many can slow things down. Considering the role and its complexity is important, as the ideal number can vary depending on the position being filled. It's SUPER important to also not fall into the trap of qualifying candidates out through 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 which happens when, unfortunately, companies enforce 6/7/8 interview stages. I always recommend our partners to aim for a core hiring team of circa 3-5 people with diverse perspectives and the ability to cover all essential aspects. What's your thoughts? How many stakeholders is the optimal amount? #HiringProcess #Interviews #FraserDoveInternational

How to answer the dreaded question: Q #3: Why should we hire you? Before your interview, research the company and the role you're applying for to gain a better understanding of their values, goals, and challenges. Check out their website, social media pages, news articles, and employee reviews to gather insights and prepare relevant questions to ask during the interview. This shows your interest, curiosity, and preparation, and can help you stand out from other candidates. Additionally, you can use your research to tailor your answers to the company's needs and demonstrate your alignment with their culture and mission. #interviewtips #jobinterview #careertips #jobsearch #jobseekers #careeradvice #research #companyculture #companyvalues #careerdevelopment #healthtronics
