Great new features out to manage gamification & challenges in Talon.One.
We've had customers using us for challenges for as long as I can remember – e.g. punchcards to unlock a specific reward, one-off point rewards for sharing some data, or progress bars showing your progression toward the next tier.
But the new product here makes it really simple to define the challenge (including any mix of transactional & engagement actions), show progression, and reward completion with any reward.
And because you can then use challenge information in Talon. One rules, you can also leverage them with any customer, session, item, or channel data to build really personalized, engaging challenges that truly drive incremental behavior. All usable alongside our other core Promotions, Loyalty, and Pricing engines.
(Worth noting: at Talon. One we power gamification, not playable games. But easy to integrate out to systems / frontend components that manage spin-the-wheels, scratch-offs, etc. This is not anything radically different for us, just getting even better at the thing we do well: incentivizing any behavior with any reward in any channel at any time).
We are all massive believers in the power of challenges to drive desirable customer behavior. It's one of the most effective ways to construct incentives and link specific behaviors with specific rewards. Pumped to get this out there and see our customers leverage some new tools in their incentives toolbox.
Well done to the team on this, especially Sabina who is our brilliant PM on all things loyalty and Jane, Barbara, and Isabelle for getting the word out on what this means for our customers.
📣👾 We’re excited to announce the launch of our new core capability, the Gamification Engine - the only out-of-the-box solution on the market to build a huge variety of automated gamification mechanisms at scale.
The Gamification Engine consolidates your gamification workflows in one simple interface, making it easier than ever before to introduce tactics like challenges, progress trackers, and badges into your incentives strategy.

23hThanks, Andrew Phelps! That was a great session and most of all, I love me some data-driven content that spurs ideas and action. I definitely learned a lot about how gamification can be really effective, if done correctly.
