Meet the people behind the product. A person our Go1'ers would know well - Jasneet Kaur. For Jasneet, although she could have her pick in companies to work for, she chose us because of a few different reasons… Great leaders to learn from. Working on a product that enables people to learn and is impactful. Flexible working to enable Jasneet to spend time with her daughter and family. Although our people are geographically dispersed, Jasneet thinks you might be surprised by how connected we are. When she joined us in 2021, we had 300 team members. Now, more than 800 people are helping to write Go1’s next chapter. The one thing that hasn’t changed? Jasneet says it’s the type of people we welcome on board. “Even though we have grown rapidly we have managed to maintain the openness and solidarity of a start-up. After a few successful milestones (including revenue) for 2024 and upcoming operations, I had the pleasure of taking a few days off last week. This is a reward of two years of crazy intensity, and much needed as a new sprint is about to start for IONA 😉 Great opportunity to demonstrate what a good team is capable of. What changed between 2021/22 and now, is that we are a dozen people pushing for a vision and a core team delivering day after day. This is likely the (only) benefit of a start-up/VC slowdown: companies must focus on building strong foundations. In the past few months, we structured and discussed internally the company we wanted, carving out the details of what we did or didn’t do well until then, and weighing each subject. We built systems and accountability so that in 2024, IONA can grow in headcount and projects without losing its spirit and constant search for efficiency. No, I'm not at #CES2024. And no, I don't miss it... For the first time in many years (not including Covid), I'm not at the annual semi-official kickoff to a new year in our industry. Alright! Time for a one year update. Last year at the same time the feeling was pretty excited and now reflecting last 12 months the journey has in real life been even more exciting. Compared to the fact that last years have been full of turbulence and turmoils in the world there is still lot of positive under the line. The return to the IT industry and the dream of raising one's own flight level in it have finally proven to be successful thanks to joining Futurice. Little did I know about the possibilities following months would bring when I opened Tammerforce door for the first time. Thanks to career "sponsors" Janne, Maria and Tuomas I have had great opportunity to be part of forward thinking type of work this company is known for. Ofcourse without a given trust and possibility to spread wings and grow more in joint task forces with Janetta raising the flight level would have not been possible. Thanks to you I was assured what really is my next mission. Being able to immediately from day 1 build modern digital product management toolkit and work with better ways to execute strategies and business plans together with clients happened faster I originally thought. ...and ofcourse the great group of talented colleagues I have a possibility work with every day is what makes the work the most inspiring. List is long but you know who you are. Continuous growth together and shared drive towards the better future is what makes me excited every day. Despite the stormy winds of current world (In Finland there is now "a weather system" that messes up all the power supply today), let's believe in future. There is always some great opportunities out there, finding them just might need some new kind of forward-thinking mindset... #agileleadership #digitalbusiness #productmanagement
