How do Flixies push boundaries? Meet Paulo Azevedo, a Senior Software Solutions Architect in Berlin whose favorite comfort food is spaghetti carbonara (but please, no cream in the sauce!) When he’s not trying his hand in the kitchen, Paulo pushes boundaries by organizing FlixLabs, our quarterly hackathon. Over the course of three days of work, Paulo and his teammates leveraged Google’s Dialogflow technology to create a hotline for customers to check if a ticket was available before connecting them with a customer service agent. This required the team to work with unfamiliar languages, like Polish, which nobody in the team spoke. In Paulo’s words, "I was working with a colleague from the localization team, and we were going through all sorts of barriers. It was stressful, but it never crossed our minds to offer a lesser experience in any language." We Push Boundaries is our core value centered around delivering results, and our ability to embrace competition and surpass current limitations by moving beyond the status quo. I had the absolute pleasure to be at the Berlin #ProductOperations Meetup yesterday. My second time on Antonia Landis amazing meetups series already and this time was special, because it's christmaaaas! 🌨️🎄🎅 It was a really fun event with many awesome talks again - so much fun indeed that I forgot to take any pictures whatsoever, guess that's a good sign! :D My 3 top key takeaways? - Collato is awesome! They are not just a great host and very open in their communication, but also put a lot of thought and effort in finding the right product! Hearing the word #ProductMarketFit in a german #startup is always a nice change! :D And I think they found a really nice product! - 5 Minute Open Mic sessions are working! And the content you will get! There was so much nice variation in the topics! From Art Projects, over Company Culture to #ProductManagement, it had all! - In PM communication is key! No matter if it's your data team (awesome talking to you Joy Chatterjee!) or your designer (who might hate you :D) get together and talk (and especially: listen as well!). There is so much value. 10/10, would go again! :)
