Business Development Director @ The Day News & Media Ltd. Campaigning to give every young person access to an engaging education which provides them with the essential life skills to succeed.
Gen Z are digital natives and it's time for us to embrace that. As parents, educators, and teachers, we need to stop forcing our analogue views and obsession with the printed word onto them. Don't get me wrong I LOVE books and I read to my kids every night, but as teens they no longer read for pleasure. However, with resources like The Day, they can still read online while improving their vocabulary and critical literacy skills. It even provides a safe and balanced platform to spark debate on difficult and controversial subjects. Let's give our kids the tools they need to thrive in today's digital world. #GenZ #digitalnatives #TheDay #education #literacyskills

With a recent Ofcom study finding a growing number of children accessing and viewing inappropriate content online, we propose that making the classroom a safe space for students to sensitively approach difficult topics is the way forward!
