This week, our Employee Spotlight is on Emily Rugg, a Patient Experience Officer. We asked her a few questions about her work at HealthHero: What is your background? How did you come to have the job you do?   I had never worked in Health Care before joining Medvivo, however I come from a family of Health Care Professionals. Regardless of my role, I have always had a passion for supporting people and when a role became available which enabled me to support our patients, it seemed like the perfect fit for me.    Can you describe your job? My main role is to investigate the concerns our patients raise regarding their contact with our service, and I pride myself on completing a thorough and methodical investigation into every concern we receive. What do you enjoy about your job?   I enjoy building a relationship with our patients, assuring them that they can trust me and trust our processes. I love working with different members of our team during these investigations, and implementing new processes which continues to improve our service for our patients. Working in clinical research presents various challenges, such as data inconsistencies, protocol deviations, and participant recruitment difficulties. However, ‘Human-Life’ is our key to overcoming these challenges. For example, when we encountered a significant amount of unencoded data, we collaborated with the project team, investigators, and site staff to discuss potential causes and solutions. We utilize all available resources, both from the site staff and CRAs, for the swift completion of data entry and verification. This is because Tigermed prides itself in placing people first, ensuring the accuracy of our data, and providing high-quality clinical trial services to benefit patients, as we remain steadfast in our commitment to give primacy to 'Human-Life’ above all else.”
