🎈🌟 Celebrating the International Day of Play🌟🎈 Today marks the first International Day of Play! It's a perfect time to think about what play means to children! Do you ever wonder what goes through a child's mind when they're playing? 🔮 Children have an amazing ability to make up new worlds and imagine things, especially when they're having fun - whether they're by themselves or with friends. When play time is joyful, meaningful, actively engaging, iterative and socially interactive, it becomes a super tool to help them learn essential skills that will help them thrive in life! ✨ So, next time you see a child playing, remember there's a whole world of magic in their minds that we might not see, but we can be sure that they are unlocking a world of possibilities in front of them! Happy first International Day of Play! #IDOP #InternationalDayOfPlay #LearningThroughPlay

The International Day of Play is particularly special for our Child and Infant lab as we start our ambitious project on "Grammar of Play" !! We are hoping to get some grants soon !! Unravelling the intricate dimensions of play has been our emphasis and we will continue our work :) Glad to see that the emphasis on PLAY for promoting early childhood development is gaining momentum !! Together, we can continue to highlight the importance of play :) TOYS are the "TIMELESS TREASURES" that shape the intricate foundations of neural architecture, serving as more than mere play objects. These objects are the architects of imagination, creativity, and cognitive growth, weaving the threads of development through every child's mind. Neural pathways are being forged and strengthened, laying down the groundwork for future learning :)
