Can't wait for the full reveal of Ennismore's Disloyalty. I hope it delivers – like the food. In case you aren't familiar with Ennismore, it’s the lifestyle umbrella of Accor comprising 15 brands, including Mama Shelter and Mondrian. Collectively, they have over 300 restaurants and bars. No wonder Ennismore brands make more money from F&B than rooms, and from locals rather than tourists. Here, you may find this story of mine interesting: https://lnkd.in/eDYz77WC More interesting than my story, here's news that just came in: Accor is acquiring a 63% stake in Potel et Chabot making it the sole owner of the group, which is an expert in creating unforgettable reception events. Momense, as it is known now, will be consolidated within Accor’s Luxury & Lifestyle Division. Closing is expected in the fall of 2023. Through its two houses, Potel & Chabot and Saint Clair, Momense has become the preferred caterer for prestigious events in France and the world over, says Accor. Its services are divided into three categories: corporate events for multinationals and private clientele; major sporting and cultural events such as the French Open; and private events in exceptional venues located in Paris such as the Pavillon Gabriel. This year, Potel & Chabot is expected to make around €130 million in revenues, making a positive contribution to Accor’s results. Surely a buy that Ennismore and Accor's luxury brands will leverage on. #acquisitions #accor

Entering the same space as last year can indeed feel daunting. It's a sentiment that resonates deeply with anyone striving for growth and progress. It's not easy to get out of that trap. While there are many factors involved, what is clear is that the status quo may not be working anymore. In the words of Bateriku CEO, "Change, or DIE!." Change could be in the form of enhancements - creating new or better processes. It could also be restrictions - putting limits to or even eliminating existing processes. Change could also mean both - such as the requirements needed to implement automation. You could enhance certain features, while at the same time limiting some flexibility previously enjoyed, in order to create standardization and rigidity/repeatability. Some problems may need to be solved with "hard" change, and others with "soft" change. Be forewarned, when done properly, the changes will solve existing problems. But, you shall trod down a diverging path - a new direction. New problems will emerge, as a result. This is where fine tuning will happen, and must be constantly monitored and further tweaked. Failing which, will cause you to end up right where you started - the same place as last year.
