Recently, I had the opportunity to successfully complete the eJPT (eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester) certification and I would like to share my experience with this certification. One of the most distinctive aspects of this process was the use of the machine provided by INE to take the exam, a custom web-based Kali Linux instance designed specifically to conduct the labs. The experience of using this machine added an additional layer of complexity. Instead of relying on my own working environment, I had to quickly adapt to a virtual environment provided, which involved familiarizing myself with its unique configuration and optimizing my workflow to maximize efficiency during the exam and not only tested my technical skills, but also my ability to adapt to new and changing situations in real time. Unfortunately, the experience was hampered by the considerable latency and slow response speed of the machine provided. Navigating through the penetration tools and executing commands became tedious and, at times, frustrating due to this technical limitation. In addition, the machine was resource constrained, making it difficult to run multiple processes simultaneously and limiting my ability to perform extensive testing. Despite these challenges, I persevered and adapted my approach to maximize the time and resources available. I developed strategies to mitigate the effects of latency, such as optimizing tool usage and minimizing reliance on resource-intensive processes. In addition, I learned how to prioritize tasks and work more efficiently to overcome machine-imposed constraints. Although the experience was marked by technical difficulties, these limitations did not overshadow the ultimate accomplishment of breaching the entire lab. Rather, they served as a reminder of the importance of adaptability. By overcoming these challenges, I demonstrated my ability to cope with adverse situations and find creative solutions in technologically restrictive environments.
Congratulations Ishu Jangra for your Great Achievement
