Since joining Tenney Group, the biggest surprise so far is how few logistics company owners have considered their future options. At 22, I started unloading trucks. By 24, I became a Supervisor, and at 28, I advanced to Operations Manager. Beyond 30, I led start-ups, turnarounds, and projects across multiple operations. Engaging in diverse #supplychain activities, utilizing my relationships and experience to drive #OperationalExcellence throughout my journey. That all said. The journey continues and there is a milestone reached. When I took over operations Summerville SC, we were ranked 18th in the customer Distribution Network and today we are ranked #2 and #6 YTD. And just like that, April was gone in the blink of an eye. ⛽ We saw a decrease in diesel for the third straight week. The average now being around $3.94/gallon. 🌉 Texas has resumed safety inspections at the Ysleta-Zaragoza bridge in El Paso. This is aimed at stopped cartel members from smuggling drugs into the United States. Normal wait times are around 45 minutes, but Monday the wait times were about 4 hours. 🚢 The port of Baltimore welcomed its first container ship since the bridge collapse. 🏈 Reggie Bush got his Heisman trophy back! Detroit also set an attendance record for the 2024 NFL Draft, with more than 750,000 fans. Caleb Williams went #1 to no surprise. Will he be an all-time great or a bust? My money is on bust! 🚛 Today marks 1 year since I've joined KCH Transportation. My first 5.5 years in logistics, I hated it. My journey thus far at Primeport Logistics has been intensively eventful. In the past one year and some months, it has been nothing short of transformative personal and professional evolution. Has the journey and ascent been a seamless climb? Heck NO! However, it has helped me discover depth of capability within myself. The trials and tasks weren't stumbling blocks but stepping stones , revealing the extent of my potential when met with determination. I have not only navigated various roles but i have mastered them, each project becoming a canvas for me to paint my skills and expertise. My journey as a freight forwarder is not to play at the junior league and rest. Instead it is a continuous ascent. There's more to be done and i am fueled by an insatiable drive to keep going, an unwavering commitment to progress.
