For you to see results during your weight training journey, you have to cut down on workout time (but up the intensity) you are also going to need to majorly up the intensity of your workout. Does it really help you lose fat faster? 🏃♀️⏱ Thread below 👇 First, what are the potential benefits of cardio for fat loss and health? - Burns more calories per session than lower intensity exercise - Can improve heart health and cardiovascular fitness - Releases feel good endorphins But relying solely on cardio has some downsides: - Extra calories burned don't make up for being sedentary the rest of the day - Can lead to burnout if focused on calories alone - May increase appetite and cravings Ultimately, cardio alone is often not the most effective route to long term fat loss success if you become inactive afterwards. Exercise should focus on muscle building. Instead of only cardio, focus on: - Building muscle with strength training - Increasing NEAT (non-exercise activity) - Creating a manageable calorie deficit Pair cardio with increased daily movement and muscle building for best fat loss results. Sometimes, life gets in the way and our fitness and nutrition goals aren’t the main focus for whatever reason. That’s ok, it’s normal. Looking at things from this view point makes for another reason not to create a plan which requires loads of time and brain power to be achieved. Instead, during the times you DO have the ability to fully focus, work on making your actions become so easy and self-doing as you can, so that during the times you’re not able to focus so much, you can at least maintain your progress and don’t have to start from scratch again when you reach the other side.
