Feeling for folks at Wealthsimple. Amazing product with amazing people working on it. If you’re in security and were impacted, feel free to shoot me a DM. I’m personally hiring Product Security engineers, but I’m happy to make connections to other parts of GitHub if I can

If you are looking for a motivated junior software developer, please take a look at Victoria’s profile! I’ve seen some of the work she did in the bootcamp and it was very impressive. They truly do a deep dive into each of these technologies.
I recently made the decision to leave HR to pursue a career in Software Development. I’m excited to announce that I’ve completed the Web Development Bootcamp at Lighthouse Labs and am now looking for my first position! 🎉 🎉 I’ve gained experience with various front- and back-end technologies including Javascript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Bootstrap, React, MaterialUI, jQuery, NodeJS, Express, Ruby on Rails, and PostgreSQL. With my background in technical recruitment and HR in tech companies, I have significant experience navigating difficult situations, different communication styles, and conflicting perspectives. All of which, I think, will be a benefit to any position! 😁 I’m interested in Front End or Full Stack Developer positions with a focus on Javascript, React, or Ruby on Rails. If you know about any positions that I may be a fit for, please let me know, and feel free to send my profile along to anyone who may be interested! Thank you and wish me luck! 🤞

In April at RailsConf in Atlanta, Matthew Langlois and I had the honor of speaking about our work at GitHub integrating ActiveRecord::Encryption into our platform. We wanted to give a talk that answered a lot of the questions we had along the way and I think you can tell from the Q&A portion there were a lot of engineers in that space. We really enjoyed getting to discuss our work, answer questions and get fresh ideas from software engineers and other security software engineers! The video is now posted: https://lnkd.in/gnUKJYPH.

🏳️🌈 #Pride season is approaching fast. Attacks on #queer and #trans people are intensifying around the world (including in Canada). 🏳️🌈 I want to make a few things clear before we're inundated with #rainbow logos and merchandise from companies that don't do enough to #support our communities during Pride season (or year-round). 🏳️🌈 If you think slapping a rainbow logo on your website and proclaiming that "love is love" is sufficient: please click through (because this one's for you). #prideseason #inclusion #brand #branding #2slgbtqia #lgbt #lgbtq #lgbtq2 #logo #people #canada
