Is anyone else starting to see more dispensaries launch their own mobile app? I know these have been around for awhile but there’s definitely been a surge as of late. Are we finally becoming obsessed with the customer and attempting to integrate deeper into their daily routine? ⚡️Which shop has the best app? ⚡️Whose been making the coolest apps? I’m looking at you Digital Awesome ⚡️Are we seeing incremental impact driven through the app? ⚡️What’s customer adoption been like?

Unless there is a real incentive for me to download an app (and keep it downloaded), it seems like it could be a bit of a friction point for the consumer experience. There also seems to be a perception that the only way to differentiate your dispensary mobile experience is to build a native app, whereas web apps have also come a long way. Native apps also put you at the mercy of the app store to accept your updates, and no operating systems have ever publically supported the cannabis industry.

Jalen Jones, thanks for the shoutout! We definitely came into the industry with the goal of creating the coolest apps in the space! From a results perspective we are seeing much higher average cart totals via app orders. Opt in for push is drastically higher when customers are engaging with a quality app and not a web view templated app. This we just found out and is blowing the competition out of the water. Adoption is generally driven by the dispensary and dispensary staff. We have deployment strategies and app marketing suggestions for the app for ongoing customer conversion as well though. Brands that take adoption and promotion of the app seriously are killing it.
