Equity and access brought Javier Angulo to AltaMed, and they have kept him here ever since. A self-described change-maker, Javier joined the AltaMed Foundation Board of Trustees in 2022 and quickly found himself amongst kindred spirits. On the Board, Javier champions equity and access through fundraising for our workforce development programs, including the AltaMed Nursing School Collaborative and Family Medicine Residency program. Javier leads Walmart's efforts in community and associate engagement throughout the Western U.S. in his role as Group Director for Community Relations. His primary objective is to fortify Walmart's standing as the most valued retailer across the region. We completed our third annual Sam’s Club Day of Service. This event brings together associates from our nearly 600 clubs and Club Support team across the nation to participate in a volunteer activity within their local communities.
