Model the behavior you want to reinforce. This is not just about parenting, this is about leadership in the workplace. Nothing throws employees off more than a company that says one thing and then does something different. A disconnect in message and actions creates distrust and erodes credibility. This will have devastating short and long-term consequences. The human brain is always connecting dots between words and actions; building trust starts with making sure yours align. So when my son says “cut…grass…weedwacker”, we get the eye protection on.
Nailed it!! Jesse I always try to reinforce good values and principles as a parent; I realized that becoming a good leader requires the same dedication and intentionality. A good leader must embody integrity, empathy, and resilience. It's about setting a positive example, actively listening to your team, and fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and motivated.
Very true Jesse Gemberling-Johnson ! When I speak to new personnel starting a leadership role, that’s always one of my first advice is that you are being watched. It’s very important that your actions match your words because it does mean something. I have to remind myself when driving my family around to not have road rage because my daughters are for sure taking notes 😆… great post!
Learn 'em young and learn 'em right! BZ, Jesse! And well done, little man!

1moPls send him to our house. How much does he charge? Seriously, though, you make a great point. I suggest that leaders be aware of their nonverbal communication, too - people pick up on inconsistency.
