Tuesday was an exciting day in the US with the launch of an initiative to prioritize use of modern grid technologies, including advanced power flow control such as our SmartValve devices, in 21 states. Special thanks to Ted Bloch-Rubin who presented our global deployments at the White House Summit on Modernizing the Power Grid!
What a day! Ted Bloch-Rubin shared global deployments of advanced power flow control at the White House Summit, where a new initiative was launched to accelerate the use of modern grid solutions, including GETs, in 21 states⚡ This new Federal-State Modern Grid Deployment Initiative launched by the Biden-Harris Administration brings together 21 leading states who have committed to prioritize efforts that support the adoption of modern grid solutions to expand grid capacity and build modern grid capabilities on both new and existing transmission and distribution lines. These solutions include high-performance conductors and grid enhancing technologies (GETs) such as sensors, power flow control devices, and analytical tools. Speaking at the Summit, Ted said "Without strategically placed SmartValves dynamically directing flow when we install the sorely needed new and bigger wires or receive critical real-time capacity data, there's no guarantee that electricity will flow toward these circuits and maximize their use."
