Starting a new business or service like PUD is likened to planting a seed for a tree. 🌱 I see many PUD operators planting a seed then expecting a tree the next day.😬 Then when a tree doesn't immediately sprout, they think the seed was bad. 🤦♂️ What a shame it'd be to abandon that seed only to have someone else enjoy the shade from your tree years from now. 🌳 Do the work today. Then again tomorrow and then tomorrow again.... 💪 Just as the seed needs rain, sun, healthy soil and time, you must keep doing the work. 🌦 Develop habits, a team, patterns, processes, redundancies and then repeat. ♻️ Practice patient ambition and you'll get there. It’s all about Lemons I was on a call a little while ago with Stevie Potter We have a weekly catch up to talk through all things business, life and kind of coach each other. Quick Hack to Make Growing Less Stressful: Say "No" more. When you first start growing, you're excited. How could you not be? You tell everyone. They share your excitement. Other growers want to get involved. As a new grower, you feel obligated to accept, even if you don't want to. But, at some point, you have to say, "No, thank you." You can't follow every piece of advice, use every technique, or grow every strain. And trying to will only stress you out (not to mention countless other problems). You have to learn to say “No” to: • Advice • Suggestions • Clones & Seeds • Friendly Visitors • Your Desire to Pop More Seeds Than You Can Grow The grow reinforces the habit of saying no. The more you say no, the more intentional your "yes" becomes. Yes = it’s valuable No = not right now No doesn't have to be permanent. Saying yes is more expensive than we think. Do you believe in planting good seeds? I was blessed to learn about the Diamond Cutter Programme four years ago, the same time I started my entrepreneurial journey. It was a life-changing program that enlightened me to the fact that I can create the abundant life I envision by consciously planting good seeds in my daily life. This can range from buying food from a random hawker stall that seems to have low business volumes, connecting business opportunities to others, letting people in need have convenient parking slots, to helping those with financial difficulties, and more. Regardless of the amount, it's about the "Intention To Favor Others." I am very thankful for all the great noble persons, business connections, clients, and friends who have given me tons of help and opportunities along this four-year journey. They have indeed planted good seeds of enlightenment, and I shall continue spreading the great vibes to enlighten others. It's a circle of good vibes; don't let it stop! LinkedIn algorithm says that I am now the WEED LADY. Reefer, hooch, kush, skunk. 🌿💨 Not that kind. 😜 My best performing post in the last 6 months was about picking actual weeds in my yard! Here's why that matters... 1️⃣ Picking weeds in my lawn for 5 minutes a day grounds me and that gives me many health benefits and a business advantage.     2️⃣ Spending 5 minutes a day doing this activity ensures I tackle my lawn issue one small step at a time. I have a beautiful property. I am reminded that small steps have a compound effect in other areas of my life too.     3️⃣ My definition of a weed is....anything I don't want growing on my lawn. This applies to my life as well. I am happy to get rid of unwanted and invasive things. Today's episode finds him in an unexpected and challenging situation. #StoryAboutCommitment #Part2 🏨 A Creepy Hotel and a Surprising Meeting Mr. Hustler had no idea how to handle the situation he found himself in. He arrived at the hotel, which the driver had recommended for its security, but its appearance was creepy. Somehow he managed and settled in a room and called the person who had assisted him in obtaining the sample product from this island, and they arranged to meet at a coffee shop. 🤝 A Conversation Full of Surprises The guy who sent the sample looked surprised and asked, “Great to see you here, and I'm happy to know that you're pleased with the product quality. But why do you want to meet the farmers directly? I can communicate with them and get you whatever quantity of the product you need.” Mr. Hustler replied, “Yes, this is my approach to doing business. I prefer to meet the farmers directly and get to know them personally.” He didn't reveal his full intentions for meeting the farmers, but his practice was always to establish good communication with suppliers, helping them and keeping up friendly relationships. That guy said, “It's fine, but meeting them directly is impossible. Their village is about 15 km away from the city, located in a dense forest with off-road terrain, making it highly risky to reach. There are groups opposed to the entire system controlling those forests, and neither government officials nor business people are allowed to visit.” “Really? But why?" Mr. Hustler asked. “The issue is due to the poor system, where people struggle to earn a living. Additionally, there are groups claiming to be the protectors of the forest and their cultures,” the guy replied. Mr. Hustler, looking puzzled, asked, “But if they're struggling to earn, how can these people afford to buy guns and develop such strong control over the system?” “The dominant force here is a major trading company that buys all the products from the farmers and exports them internationally. They control nearly 70% of the local retail business. We believe this company is financially supporting those groups,” the guy explained. “Are they selling the same products as mine?” Mr. Hustler wondered, now concerned about his safety and the risks involved. “Fortunately, no. But I cannot assure you that you won’t face any trouble from them.” Mr. Hustler's worries intensified, as the situation was the complete opposite of what he had anticipated when he began this venture. He now faced a crucial decision: should he continue his commitment or quit?
