"Why are we so focused on quality connections? Why do they matter? The reason is because the impact of loneliness is enormous at the individual and at the organizational level.... In fact, US Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy has stated that social disconnection is as harmful to our health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day." As our CEO, Adrienne Prentice, explained during our webinar last week, social disconnection has far-reaching consequences for employees, and the organizations working hard to keep them. 💡 Interested in learning more about what the data says we can do TODAY to combat this problem? 🔗 Watch our webinar for free online ⏩ https://zurl.co/PNx9

🎆 With Fourth of July falling on a Thursday this year, it creates both a short workweek and a long weekend for many — which can be a double source of stress for working parents and others. This year, we encourage you to give YOURSELF a freedom-themed gift: free up some time in your schedule by strategically "dropping the ball." What do we mean? Write down all the tasks you're juggling from your work to-do list and your family to-do list. Search for one task that feels heavy ... but actually isn't important to you. And then drop that ball! Let the task drop off your list. Give yourself permission to prioritize what truly matters and enjoy the freedom that comes with letting go of the rest. #FourthOfJuly #WorkLifeBalance #KeepThe73

📢 In case you missed it: Our Chief Technology Officer, Zvi Band, recently shared the launch of the newest addition to the Keep Company platform: "Check Out." At its heart, Check Out is pretty simple. When a meeting draws to a close, our members now have the chance to keep their group-learning experiences going by answering a few key questions in a checkout screen: 💡 Takeaways & Experience ➡ Members are asked about their key takeaways from their meetings and how they think the meetings went. 🤝 Commitments ➡ They get to share the commitments they are making before their next meetings with their Keep Company coaches. 📣 Shoutouts ➡ Members can now give shoutouts to others in their groups, which are then delivered at random in the days that follow as a welcome surprises for each recipient. 🔗 To learn more about how Check Out is transforming Keep Company's group-learning experience and what else is on the horizon, check out Zvi’s post: https://zurl.co/pbmU #EmployeeWellBeing #KeepThe73

Learning to ask for help is a powerful way to lighten your load and strengthen your relationships — both at work and at home. But ... it's often hard to make the ask. Here are several strategies to help get you started: ⏸️ Pause ➡ Take a moment to reflect on why you’re hesitating to ask for help. ✅ Permission ➡ Give yourself permission not to do it all. 🎯 Get Specific ➡ Consider exactly what it is that you need. 💬 Make the Ask ➡ Think about framing your request in simple, clear terms — like, "I am (emotion) with (challenge). Can you (specific action)?" Be explicit. 🚫 When It's a No ➡ Fearing the "no" often holds us back from asking in the first place. To move on from a "no," just remember to breathe, show yourself some compassion, and keep the problem-solving moving! Consider following up with a question like, "Who would you ask for help with this?" Remember, asking for help isn't a sign of weakness; it's a step toward maintaining your strength.

🔑 Creating a thriving workplace culture is one of the keys to attracting and retaining top talent. And as The Legal Intelligencer reported recently, there are specific cultural investments that midsize law firms, in particular, can make today to set themselves apart from the competition: ✅ Adopt Flexible Work Arrangements: Offer attorneys and staff flexible or hybrid work options to accommodate their diverse lifestyles and needs. ✅ Maintain Meaningful Channels of Communication: Beyond annual reviews, partners should hold regular check-ins with their team members to let them know what they are doing well and that they are valued. ✅ Adapt to New Mindsets: Recognize that lawyers across generations have different mindsets, and many young attorneys are less concerned with making partner than they are with maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our add: Don't assume you know what your team wants or needs. Come with curiosity and learn what is important to your team. You may be surprised. With these investments, people leaders and law firm managers can successfully create a more engaged and committed workforce while also giving their talent acquisition and retention efforts a much-needed boost. 🔗 Check out the link to The Legal Intelligencer's full article in the comments below — or DM us to connect with our team! #LawFirm #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeWellbeing
